The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Walking through the hall and into the dressing room, Nathaniel doesn't see Alexandra in sight causing him to sigh.

"Where could she be?"

Striding out, while advancing out towards the ring, he bumps into Alexandra at the doorstep. She gazes into his eyes and he gazes back in silence. Hearing the familiar thumping of his heart beating fast, Alexandra smiles and gently puts her soft hand on his chest.

"I like the way is beating"

"Can you hear it?" A lot of emotions run through Nathaniel's eyes

"Yes"

"I can hear yours as well, steady as it beats"

Licking her dry lips, Alexandra bites gently observing him intently, trying to find something she isn't sure of.

"What?" His baritone voice whispers in her ear

Alexandra opens her mouth to say something but on second thought pushes it aside.

"Nothing" she drops her arm

"Are you sure?" He takes a step forward and she steps backward.

"Yes," she lies glancing around trying not to meet his eyes for fear that he doesn't see right through her.

"I don't believe you"

"Well, that's your problem" she shoots sharply attempting to walk away when he holds her hand, pushing her further into his arms causing her hands to fall against his hard chest.

"What are you doing?" Alexandra's eyes widened

"What does it look like?"

"Let go" Alexandra strives

"Why?"

"Because someone might see us" she glances around

"No one's here"

"Let me go someone might walk in"

"I don't mind"

"Well I do" Alexandra hisses

"Stop that" he whispers

"Stop what?"

"Hissing"

"Why?"

"Because it makes me want to devour your lips"

"Devour? That sounds harsh" Alexandra states, wondering what he meant.

"Can you stop being so blunt all the time" Alexandra continues to wriggle, trying to break away from his arms?

"Don't you like it?"

Alexandra scoffs. "Why will I like something like that?"

"I thought you would since you didn't get it when I used a mild phrase"

"You said devour, is like trying to say you want to eat my lips out"

"Fine I will use kiss all the time so I won't get misunderstood"

"I didn't say you should use that either"

"So which one will I use?"

"No one" Alexandra states firmly

"Wrong answer Alexandra, you have to tell me an alternative for me to use"

"I don't have any since I don't plan on kissing you again"

"Why?" Nathaniel frowns

"Don't ask me why, now let me go"

"Not until you tell me the reason"

"Why must I? Now let me go"

"I will hold unto you tightly" Nathaniel glances around "I wonder where they are"

He whispers

"Who?"

"Your pack members"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "What? Why would they come here? Did you invite any?'

"Yes I did and she is a little bit too careful"

"Who? Tell me her name! Hurry!"

"Her name is Alexandra Guerrero" he smiles and she calms down, staring deep into his eyes.

"Why? You didn't think I would invite someone else to come when I want to spend time with you"

"You want to spend time with me" Alexandra feels her face redden for a moment "Yes I do know what word should I use to replace kiss"

"Nothing"

"How about mating?"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "Are you crazy? What if someone hears you?"

"Relax there is no one here and besides I wouldn't mind sealing the bond between

us"

"Nathaniel"

"What?"

"You are being naughty"

"And is getting your heart to beat faster, and your hands sweaty"

"That's ridiculous"

Leaning closer to her ear, his warm breath fans her face as he whispers. "Are you perhaps nervous or what?"

"I'm not nervous now quit playing around and let me go"

"I'm not playing around Alexandra. What makes you think that I am?"

Hearing the words roll out of his mouth, Alexandra tries to form the right words. "Are you serious?"

"Yes I am"

"Well... well-"

"Why won't you want to kiss me again?"

"I...I... nothing" she stutters

"I don't believe you"

"I'm telling you the truth Nathaniel" she whispers In a low yet seductive manner

"When you say my name that way, it makes me want to kiss you even more"

"Please don't..." she pauses

"Don't do what?"

Uncertain of what to say, Alexandra bites her lower lips.

"You have to say something for me to know what you want"

"Please don't kiss me"

"Why? Don't you like it when I kiss you"

"I...I..."

"You once said you liked the other time"

"I did and you are good but I don't want to go around kissing you all the time"

"Why?"

"Because... because is wrong"

"We are mates Alexandra"

"People might misunderstand"

"You know when I saw you win Adam Hawthorn, all I wanted to do was explore

the corners of your mouth but since I know how you will feel I'm just going to do

this"

"Do wh-"

Alexandra chokes on her words as Nathaniel places a soft yet tender kiss on her cheek. "Congratulations Alpha Alexandra Guerrero"

Startled for a moment, her eyes fixated on him, Alexandra couldn't bring her lips to mouth, Nathaniel was everything she wished for and all Adams couldn't be. He wasn't the perfect mate but Alexandra had felt she had found that in him.

"No one said that to me directly," Alexandra whispers. "You are the first"

"I wanted to be the first, I want to be your first in everything"

"Why?"

"Because you are mine, Alexandra Guerrero"

"I'm yours" she repeats trying to make certain she heard rightly

"Yes you are mine and I'm never letting you go"

A smile forms on Alexandra's lip, and she couldn't hide the glee on her face, Nathaniel made her happy yet somewhere in her heart, she was still scared.

"Why? Why do you want me to be yours?"

"I don't want Alexandra, you are already mine and mine alone"

Uncertain of what to say anymore, she turns around to leave but he holds her

hand gently.

"Stay Alexandra, do not leave me please"

"Why?"

"Because I need you, you mean a lot to me"

"Please stop Nathaniel" she states almost pleadingly

"Why?"

"Because is too much and someone might hear you"

"I don't care"

"Well I care Nathaniel"

"Why?"

"Because this is my pack, someone might just say something"

"Like rumor"

"Yes. The Guerrero pack member isn't like the Crimson pack, they love to gossip"

"And you care about it because?"

"I'm their Alpha, Nathaniel. I'm the new Alpha"

"I'm your mate too, I have been your mate for a long time"

"I know" She exhales, hating how the words came out to run her index finger on

his face while still staring into his alluring eyes.

"Then what is the problem?"

"I'm sorry" she mutters, disliking her apology.

"What's that?" A mischievous grin formed on his lips "I didn't hear you"

She glares at him. "You heard me"

"I didn't, if I did, why would I lie".

"Because you are Nathaniel and you love to play games with me"

"You enjoy it, don't lie? I can see right through you"

"Really? What can you see?"

"Your beautiful smile and the things running through your head"

"You're unbelievable, go home" she tries to walk away again when he holds her

hand.

"How did you feel?"

"Feel about what?".

"Being in there fighting with Adam, you must have been scared but I knew you

could do it"

"You did" Alexandra's face brightens

"Yes I always believe in you and you know that"

"I don't know what to say"

"You don't have to say anything but I have something to say"

She tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. "What is it?"

"Our marriage, is it still holding?"

"Of course, our agreement is still on, Nathaniel, why are you asking? Are you

scared?"

"Yes I am"

Flipping her hair, Alexandra bites her lips. "What am I gonna do with you, Nathaniel?"

"Anything" He states

"Really?" She smiles sinisterly, raising her brow as if daring him
