Chapter 101
After the ceremony, Sara and I found a quiet moment by the edge of the clearing. The air still buzzed with energy, the pack celebrating Ryan's ascension and the announcement of their bond, but I had something weighing on my mind.
"Sara," I started, glancing at her, "should we tell Adonis about everything that's happened? He should know about Rambo, the potions, the witch..."
Sara waved her hand dismissively, a smirk already forming on her lips. "Relax, Ella. Adonis will be fine. He's got his own pack to worry about, and besides, I'll be going back with Ryan soon. We'll hold our bonding ceremony with my pack, and Adonis can be filled in then. No need to burden him with all the details just yet."
I blinked, a bit surprised at her nonchalance. "You're sure?"
She nodded confidently. "Absolutely. Trust me, he won't miss out on anything important. Besides, Ryan and I want to do this right-return to my pack and celebrate properly with them." She paused, looking at me with a rare, genuine softness. "You're invited, of course."
I felt a wave of emotion rise in my chest and threw my arms around her, hugging her tight. "I'm so happy for you, Sara! You and Ryan... it's perfect."
Sara laughed softly, returning the embrace. "Who would've thought, huh? You and me, both about to get tied down. The world really has gone upside down."
Stepping back, I grinned. "How about this once everything with the witch is resolved, we can hold a joint wedding? That way, we'll both get the perfect day."
Sara smirked, clearly amused at the idea. "A double wedding? Sounds like chaos." She paused, her smirk turning into a genuine smile. “But I like it.”
Just as I was about to respond to Sara, Nathan's groan behind me made me pause. "A joint wedding? That's your big plan?" he said, stepping forward with his arms crossed, his expression a blend of annoyance and disbelief. He looked at me like I had just suggested the most outrageous thing in the world.
Tristan was right behind him, shaking his head with a mock frown, clearly not on board with my idea either. "Seriously? We're not waiting for a wedding just because Sara and Ryan want to do things the formal way. That's their deal, not ours."
I folded my arms, meeting their stares head-on. "And you two seem to be
forgetting that we still have the witch to deal with," I shot back, raising an eyebrow at them. "We can't just settle down and act like everything's over. The danger is far from passed."
Nathan's expression turned more
serious, but could still see the frustration bubbling beneath the surface. We could be married and still handle the witch. I don't
Dee why
those two things can't happen at the same time," he said, his eyes fixed on me as though daring me to disagree.
Tristan, always one to back up his brother, nodded in agreement. "Exactly. We've waited long enough. We should get married the second we're back at Moon Lake. No more delays, Ella."
I let out an exaggerated sigh, rolling
my eyes even though deep down, their eagerness made my heart skip. They were impossible, these two. "You both are acting like wedding bells are the top priority right now. But we can't just ignore what's still out there. The witch is still a threat, and until she's dealt with, there's no real peace."
Tristan groaned, his tone melodramatic as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Fine. But once this witch business is over, no more stalling. We're doing this right away," he said, his words laced with mock exasperation. "I'm holding you to that."
Nathan leaned in closer, his face inches from mine, his eyes glinting with a mix of frustration and affection. "And when we do get married, it's going to be immediate. No joint weddings. No more waiting for anyone else," he said, his voice low and possessive, sending a shiver down my spine.
I bit back a smile, nodding softly. "Deal. But first, we have to finish what we started. The witch comes first."
Sara, who had been standing off to the side, watching our back-and-forth, chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Looks like you've got your hands full with these two, Ella."noveldrama
I couldn't help but laugh as I leaned into Nathan's side, feeling Tristan's arm wrap around my waist from the other side, pulling me in closer. "Oh, you have *no* idea," I said, a grin spreading across my face.
Sara winked at me, shaking her head. "Well, I guess we'll see who gets married first, won't we?" she teased, throwing a glance at Ryan, who was silently watching the exchange with an amused smirk.
I laughed along with her, but as the night went on, the weight of everything-the battles, the dangers still ahead—felt a little lighter. With Sara and Ryan heading down their own path and Nathan and Tristan steadfastly by my side, I knew we'd be ready for whatever came next.
