Alpha Twins And Their Hybrid Mate

Chapter 102

I had just stepped out of my room. My muscles ached, but it was a good type of ache. Tristan and Nathan did a number on me last night.

As I closed the door behind me, I saw Ryan standing in the hallway, his face set with grim determination. He caught sight of me and approached with purpose.

"Ella," he began, his voice low and serious, "I'm heading to the dungeon to interrogate the witch."

I crossed my arms, narrowing my eyes. "I'm coming with you."

Ryan shook his head immediately. "You need to rest. You've barely recovered."

"Rest?" I raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. "That witch targeted me, Ryan. You know it as well as I do. She went after me specifically. I need to know why."

I clenched my fists, frustration bubbling up. "I can't sit back and do nothing. This isn't just about Rambo anymore. It's bigger than him, and you know that. The witch knew something-something about my powers, about me being a white wolf. If I don't hear it firsthand, we could be missing something crucial."

Ryan hesitated, his jaw tightening as he weighed his options. I could see the concern in his eyes, the way he glanced at my still-healing wounds. But I wasn't about to let fear keep me sidelined.

His eyes softened slightly, but his tone remained stern. "Ella, if anything happens

"I'll be fine," I interrupted, my gaze unwavering.

He sighed, conceding. "Fine. But if it gets dangerous, you get out of there. No arguments."

I nodded, relief flooding through me. "Deal."

With a final nod, he turned, leading the way down the corridor. As I followed, a sense of dread and anticipation curled in my stomach. Whatever the witch had to say, I had a feeling it would change everything.

Ryan led the group down the dark, winding stairs to the dungeon, his posture tense, his eyes focused. I followed close behind, my heart pounding, with Nathan and Tristan flanking me on either side. The air grew colder as we descended, the smell of damp stone and decay heavy in the air. The captured witch had been silent for hours, but today, we would get answers.

The cell door creaked open, revealing the witch sitting shackled to the wall, her head down, a tangle of hair obscuring her face. As we stepped inside, her head slowly lifted, and a twisted smile crept onto her lips. Her eyes gleamed with dark amusement, even in her weakened state.

Ryan stood in front of her, arms crossed. "You're going to tell us everything," he said firmly. "Why did you agree to follow Alpha Rambo? What did he promise you?"

The witch let out a low, guttural laugh. It started small, but then it grew louder, more unhinged. She threw her head back, laughing as though Ryan had told her the most absurd joke.

I stepped forward, my voice cutting through the madness. "Why are you laughing?" I demanded. "Why did you work with Rambo? What was your plan?"

The witch's laughter stopped abruptly, her gaze locking onto mine. "You really think I worked for Rambo?" she sneered. "Oh, poor little white wolf. You still don't understand, do you?"

I frowned, exchanging a quick glance with Tristan. "What are you talking about?"

The witch's eyes darkened, and she leaned forward as far as her chains would allow. Her dark aura engulfed the room, lifting her up and then with a thud she came back on the floor.noveldrama

My breath caught in my throat. "But... he controlled you. He controlled this pack with your help."

She grinned, her teeth sharp and cruel. “I gave him the potions, the power, the lies. Wolfbane. it didn't just destroy your people physically. It poisoned their minds."

Nathan growled beside me, stepping forward, but I held up my hand to stop him. I needed to know the truth.

"What are you talking. Tell us the truth. What do you want!" I screamed at him.

The witch chuckled softly, her eyes glinting with malice. "You really think you arezin control. I am in charge of myself. These chains are of no use for me. I am here because of my own will, it was my choice she said.

"And why are you here? Don't you know that we are not going to spare you. Nobody walks to their own funeral. Are you crazy or do you think we are? We want to know the truth." I yelled at her.

I needed to know the truth.

"Because of you," she spat.

Before I could react, her hand shot out, her whole body was enveloped in darkness and only her eyes glowed in gray light, her lips curling into a@urse. "*May the light within you rot and decay! You will fall, just like the rest of your kind!*"

A searing pain shot through me, like fire spreading through my veins. I gasped, stumbling back as Nathan and Tristan rushed to my side, their faces twisted with worry.

The witch's body convulsed

violently, her eyes rolling back as she choked out one final laugh. "It doesn't matter now... your fate is sealed she whispered before her body went limp, her final breath escaping into the cold dungeon air.

Ryan cursed under his breath, stepping back from the witch's lifeless form. "Damn

it. We didn't get enough out of her."

I stood, trembling, the weight of her curse settling heavily in my chest. Tristan

wrapped an arm around me, steadying me. "Ella, are you okay?"

I nodded, though my heart was still pounding. "She... she cursed me."

Nathan's grip tightened on my shoulder. "We'll figure it out. We'll find a way to break it."

But the witch's final words echoed in my mind. The fight with Rambo had been just the beginning. Now, it was clear-the real war was with the witches. And they weren't done with us yet.
