The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 163: Invasion III

Watching Alexandra while she sat on the ground staring into space. Nathaniel could only imagine what she was thinking. He could ask her but yet again, she wasn't comfortable. Nathaniel saw a look of something he couldn't quite decipher

in her eyes.

Sensing as though she was been watched, Alexandra turns sharply and sees him staring at her intently.

"Why are you gawking at me?"

"A penny for your thought?"

"That depends"

"On what Alexandra? Tell me what are you thinking?" Nathaniel asked.

After spending hours with her, he was happy she has calmed down. Nathaniel himself wasn't what was going on, he didn't know if it was because of the words he had said to her or because of the fact that they were still hiding.

Should he have brought his car? Did he make a mistake telling her about the man in the woods?

Nathaniel shook his head. Now wasn't the right time to be thinking about all of this. Telling her may not have been the best thing to do considering the time and circumstances surrounding. But Nathaniel wasn't sure when the right time would be. Ever since he met Alexandra, life hasn't been all rainbows and unicorns. She was complicated and now he understood why.

"It depend on why you were staring at me"

"I'm staring at you because you are beautiful and I just can't help staring at you Alexandra"

"Nathaniel please"noveldrama

Nathaniel knew what she was pleading for and although he didn't like it choose to keep silent and just smile. The kind of smile that assured Alexandra that he didn't quite agree with her but was going to let it go.

"You don't want to say something"

"What should I say?" Nathaniel asked. His eyes twinkled and Alexandra found herself wanting to be immersed in those hazel eyes.

Hating to have such thought, Alexandra blinks her eyes and looked away. Thinking about him in such manner was bad but love just couldn't just be for her and Nathaniel's action was part of why she had such thought.

Although a part of her had wanted this to be a dream, it has wanted her past to never exist then she wouldn't be here doubting him. Maybe she would have flung her arms around his neck while their lips captured creating a electrifying moment between them.

But her past did exist and so she couldn't just turn a blind eye to it.

"Are you hungry?" Nathaniel asked hating the silence between them.

It was awkward, though he didn't want any of this, choose to give her space to calm down but now she was calm and Nathaniel wasn't going to let this silence go on any longer.

"In this time?"

"Yes"

"Well I couldn't quite be -"

Alexandra was cut off by the loud grumbling of her stomach. Nathaniel chuckles. "You're hilarious"

"Laugh all you want but I'm not -"

Her stomach grumbles again and Alexandra turns her face around ashamed. She couldn't get why her stomach choose to grumbles at such awkward time. Now she won't know how to face him.

"Come on, don't be shy" Nathaniel said as if he read her mind.

"I'm not shy" Alexandra retorts.

"I don't believe you"

"That's your business then" She rolled her eyes. A smile creeps on her face but she cleared her throat, wiping the smile off her beautiful face

"Turn around"

"Why?"

"Because I want to see your face"

"Is business right now"

Nathaniel laughs. That was the most foolish response he has ever gotten but coming from Alexandra, it was just perfect. Funny. Just what he needed for them to get by while the night approaches rather fast and they would leave Guerrero and return if ever.

"It is my business"

"No it isn't" She frowned. She wanted to get away from this house and be on her way. No she wanted to be away from this house so she can be all alone with him and then figure out what next step to take.

Hell she wanted to be with him, if only she could shake this feeling off. The thing is, it wasn't just a feeling, it was real. All of it, first was the past experience with Adam and the other was Nathaniel's distrust, his doubts.

What those doubts did to her. Nathaniel didn't know the damage his words did to her and Alexandra wasn't going to tell him. At least not when they were hiding from the guards of Guerrero pack.

"Don't deny me the privilege of seeing your face"

A smile glues on her face, that was exactly what she wanted to hear and now she did. She couldn't stop herself from turning around and staring into his eyes which was now an inch away from him.

How did he get here? She heard his footsteps when he got up and came towards her.

"Now I can see you" Nathaniel runs his index finger on her perfect face. Tiny goose bumps crawl up Alexandra's body. The nearness was doing a lot of things

to her. Not that she didn't like it but the timing was so wrong and Alexandra feared that she wouldn't be able to control herself.

"Sto... Sto...stop" she whispered but her eyes said a different thing.

In that moment, Nathaniel could sense that she didn't mean those words. As a matter of fact, she meant the very opposite and so he didn't stop.

"Why?" He tucks the hair behind her ear. "Tell me what you want Alexandra" His eyes darkened and another illicit thrill runs through his mind but he could only go ahead if she wanted.

Alexandra struggled, she wanted to be her usual harsh manner but then again she wanted to sound sexy. To give him something to hold unto, that way they could figure it out together once they were out of here.

"You can do what you want but then again, you can imagine it"

Nathaniel arched his brow at her, he didn't quite like the response although it shot

a dark sensation through him. "Am I allowed to imagine what I want?"

Alexandra attempts to say something when the door was suddenly kicked down and Adam entered with the troop of guards.
