The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Leaving the pack, Nathaniel had a lot of plans to make since he was going into the Guerrero's territory which he was certain would be heavily guarded.

He already knows the city by heart but he feared that Adam would have placed his men knowing Alexandra would surely make an appearance. Running a hand through his face, he paces around in his study, he couldn't tell what danger Alexandra just walked right into.

"You shouldn't have escaped" he whispers

"You shouldn't have acted rashly"

"I hope you calculated your steps" He lets out a deep breath.

Alexandra was a smart Alpha no doubt but Nathaniel feared that she may have

acted rashly by escaping without going through a plan. Halting he stared into space wondering what separates her from her pack. Fully aware of how Olivia and Bernard mistreated Alexandra, Nathaniel wasn't sure why she was in such a hurry to leave that she had to escape.

Deep down he could sense it wasn't just for the position nor for the fact that he doubted her nor for her revenge. Whatever it was, Nathaniel couldn't tell and that made him riled up.

Feeling his head hurt from thinking too much, Nathaniel walks over to a seat and plops down. A soft knock come on the door and the guard earlier stepped in.

"I didn't send for you"

"I know Alpha, came to check up on you"

Nathaniel gives him a quizzical look, he wasn't a social butterfly and doesn't appreciate it when his pack members try too hard to impress him. It made him suspicious that they were up to know good and couldn't be trusted.

"Don't try too hard"

"What?" The guard asked confused

"I dislike when people try too hard"

"I'm not trying so hard Alpha"

Nathaniel eyes the new guard up, searching through his eyes he could see the

sincerity in those brown eyes that shined brightly like the stars.

"Why would you want to check up on me when I didn't ask you to"noveldrama

"I heard what happened at the pack house with the pack"

"Aren't you among them?"

"I was out all through"

"I'm not going to ask why since is irrelevant for me to know"

"I understand" The guard lowers his head, a little disappointed, he was one of

those people who admired Nathaniel a lot but he didn't notice.

He hasn't noticed anyone anymore except Alexandra, only when she was happy and by his side could he notice his pack members.

"Is that all?"

"Yes Alpha"

As the guard turns to leave, Nathaniel states quickly. "Wait"

Halting he looks at Nathaniel "Yes Alpha"

"How long have you been a guard here?"

"A month"

"How long have you been a guard?"

"Since I was a teenager"

"You heard all that was said when I met up with the pack right?".

"Yes I did"

"I want to hear what you have to say?"

Bewildered the guard opened his mouth and closes it. "What?"

"Don't you have anything to say? Are you not part of the crimson pack?".

"I am but the pack has said everything and everyone has taken their own decisions Alpha"

"What is their decision?"

"They will not help you and the lady Alpha isn't strong to be right by your side which means they are telling you to leave her"

"What is my decision?"

"You will not leave your mate and I'm thinking you are going to help her"

"If you're the Alpha what will you do?"

Shocked, the guard swallows the lump forming in his throat.

"I would help my mate"

"Why?"

"Because I love her and she's my mate. Even if I find a replacement for my mate,

it will never be like the mate that was destined for yours from birth. The one your

wolf howled to and so I would not want to lose her"

"You seem to be a romantic idiot"

"No Alpha, I just take the mate bond seriously"

"Well I hope it works out for you" Nathaniel bites his lower lips still wondering about the perfect way to get rid of Adam Hawthorn and help Alexandra.

"Is that all?"

"Yes you can go"

The guard nods affirmatively, turning to leave but on second thought looks back at Nathaniel. He could tell a lot was going on in his mind.

"I thought you would be on your way Alpha"

Nathaniel observes him closely wondering if he was one of those people who loved to gossip and spread rumors if he was then he wouldn't hesitate to dismiss him from protecting him.

"Are you looking for a story to tell?"

Recognizing himself, the guard lowers his head apologetically. "Forgive me Alpha.

I just thought you should be on your way now if you want to help her"

"For someone who wasn't in the meeting, you seem to care"

"I shouldn't have overstepped, just thought she might be in danger"

"You need a plan if you are going against an army"

"The Guerrero guards are wicked and strong"

"Have you fought with one?"

"Yes Alpha, they seem to have a similar fighting style since they were all trained by Alpha Adams Hawthorn"

Hearing that dreadful name, Nathaniel clenches his jaw tightly. That name was the cause of all this and he wouldn't stop till he helps Alexandra get his revenge against Adam.

"Are you sure he trains them?"

"Yes Alpha, you can ask any of the guards and they would say the same thing"

"I believe you"

The guard smiled widely like he just won the lottery. "Thank you, Alpha and the guards are no match for you"

"I know but is one against a great number"

"You will conquer Alpha"

"I already have. Although Adam is a vicious man who would stop at nothing till he brings Alexandra and me down. I will find a way around this and together I will make everyone in this pack eat their words. They would regret why they choose to believe the words of Adam Hawthorn instead of my words" He stands up and walked out.
