Chapter 133: Talking to the Moon
The Moon rises above the clouds and Alexandra sits by the window, staring at the beautiful moon that shines brightly in the sky. A wave of guilt cast on her face. Adam wanted to destroy her, he made sure of it when he decided not to chase after her after she had escaped from the woods and she just realized it now.
"You played well Adam" she grimaces
Nothing can be used to describe the feeling, running her hand through her mind. Alexandra inhales deeply the familiar scent lingering in her nose, she could tell it was food. The door opened and Nathaniel entered.
"Dinner's ready"
Throwing a glance at him, she averts her eyes back to the moon.
"Sitting by the window all night won't get the moon to grant your wish"
"Will you leave me alone?"
"Dinner's down, you should eat something"
"Funny how you think I can stomach anything"
"You're recuperating, you need to eat"
Gazing back at him, she raises her brow. "Are you going to make me?"
"This isn't some prison Alexandra, I'm not going to force you to do anything"
Alexandra chuckles. "You're hilarious, one minute you tell me I can't leave and the next you declare freedom"
"Come eat"
"Not hungry"
"Is your favorite"
"You can throw it out or perhaps shove it down your throat Nathaniel, I don't care now leave me alone"
"I can't let you go to sleep without eating"
"Who said I was going to sleep?"
"Do you plan to talk to the moon all through the night?"
"That's none of your business since you kept me captive here"
"You are not my prisoner"
"This isn't freedom either!" She states aloud "This is ownership"
"This won't make me change my mind"
"I wasn't Intending for you to. I will figure my way"
Nathaniel walks nearer to her while locking eyes with her, he was still mad at her
and she couldn't feel otherwise.
"You should step away from the window"
"Are you going to deprive me of that as well?"
"No, but sitting by yourself talking to the moon feels depressing"
"Is better than talking to you"
As he closes the space between them, Alexandra gets down from the window, moving away. "Don't crowd me, you suffocate me"
"Go to bed Alexandra, we will talk by morning" He turns around to leave when she
states firmly. "You won't keep me here for long, I won't allow it"
He turns back at her, molding his fist tightly, Alexandra was pushing him to the
wall and it wouldn't be long before he loses control.
"We have had this conversation earlier and I don't expect you to object"
"That wasn't a conversation"
"And Whose fault is it?"
"Yours" she states firmly
"Interesting but you know deep down who is to blame"
"I still don't care"
"Fine run away if you can"
"I won't run" she lies
"Okay so go to bed, my gosh, you nag a lot"
"Take that back" she glared
"Will you take back all you said about me"
"I didn't say anything besides the truth"
"And so did I so goodnight, we will talk better in the morning"
"I don't wish to talk to you by morning"
"We will see" He leaves and Alexandra exhales.
After telling him the truth, she had thought he would never doubt her, she had opened up to him by telling him a part of her life no one knows about not even her family.
"How could you not trust me?" Tears cloud her eyes but she blinks. The last thing she wanted was to get emotional, she needed to be strong if she was going to return to face her enemies. There couldn't be room for weakness, it would mean her death and she couldn't just die yet, not before giving Adam, Bernard, and Olivia a taste of their own medicine.
They had not only destroyed what she had with Nathaniel but they had rubbed her off her position by slandering her name thereby challenging her existence and she was going to accept the challenge.
"This could only end one way" she trails her eyes back to the moon
Feeling the reflection of the moon in her eyes, Alexandra's eyes widened when a memory from her past strikes through her mind.
"No way" she breathes out "Adam wouldn't do that," she thinks to herself but Deep down she already knew she was deceiving herself by saying that.
Just to get the Alpha position, Adam Hawthorn was capable of anything and so was her step-sister. She killed her mother as well and Olivia wasn't going to stop until Alexandra's blood had been used to inscribe on her epitaph.
That way she would have the pleasure of tormenting Alexandra even in her death. Olivia hated Alexandra but when she found out she was behind Veronica's death, she despised her and wanted to have her head on a stake, and Alexandra just realized that.noveldrama
"They are going to kill them" she bites her lower lips pacing back forward for a moment.
She needed to leave the Starkov mansion and return to face Olivia's wrath or she would lose the only people she always wanted to save.
"Adam Hawthorn you bastard" Alexandra laughs, she wasn't oblivious to the fact that they were a step ahead of her.
"Olivia Guerrero, who would have thought you were this smart to pull this off" she states, never imagining that a day would come when she would be playing by someone else rules. After her first life, she had called the shots, trapping Olivia in her hole but now she was the one getting trapped in a hole and she couldn't do a thing about it.
"I have to leave here" Striding towards the door, she locks the door, leaning
against it for a moment, a lot of things running through her mind.
"Is now or never".
What do you think?
