The Night I Let Go

Chapter 72

Zachary remained stiff for a long time. It wasn't until he had finally calmed down that he let out a soft sigh.

Quietly gazing at Molly's delicate face, he couldn't help but marvel. Despite Molly being a bit slim, she was undeniably beautiful.

As these thoughts crossed his mind, his hand instinctively reached out, slightly stroking her soft, silky face.

The moment his fingers touched her, Zachary's heart began to race, an electrifying sensation running down his spine. His breathing grew heavier as he stared at Molly's beautiful, sleeping face, feeling it inch closer and closer. He could feel her soft, sweet breaths brushing against his nose.

Zachary narrowed his eyes, his lips inching closer to hers. Just as they were about to touch, Molly's eyelashes fluttered, as if sensing something. Her eyes slowly opened, her expression dazed, as though she hadn't fully woken up.

Startled, Zachary quickly pulled himself away from her.

"Mmm..." Molly murmured softly as she woke up. Noticing Zachary's reddened ears, a look of confusion and curiosity appeared in her eyes.

"Zac!" Molly called out softly, slightly surprised.

Zachary swallowed hard before quickly getting out of bed and fleeing to the bathroom. As he looked at his reflection in the mirror, a wave of regret washed over him.

He placed his hand over his chest, feeling his heart pounding wildly. He was at a loss.

Just moments ago, he had nearly lost control, about to make a move on Molly. In that instant, his raw desire had overpowered his better judgment, urging him to claim Molly as his.

"Zachary Lloyd, how could you be so shameless? Are you even human?" he muttered under his breath.

Feeling the burning desire still pulsing through his body, Zachary decided to take a cold shower to calm himself down.

Half an hour later, in the dining room, Zachary and Molly sat face to face in silence, an odd tension filling the air.

When the door closed, he let out a long sigh of relief. That had been so awkward.
