The voice on the line paused briefly before asking, "What's happened?"

"Yonas, women from the Bowers family showed up..." Yoselin shared what had been happening lately. "I suspect Irene's involved in this. Donna probably took Yasmine's files because of something Irene told her."

"Why are the Bowers staying at the Sanchez place?" Yonas asked his voice icy.

"I'm not exactly sure. Aunt Ivette brought Donna over, and said she was going to work at the Sanchez family business. She hadn't found a place yet, so she's staying here for now. That Dona is trouble; she's always hanging around Morgan like those women you see at bars." Yoselin finally thought of a way to describe it after pondering for a while.

Yonas gave a soft chuckle, "Have you ever actually seen those bar women?"

"I've seen them on TV. Yonas, you have to help Yasmine! That woman seems like real trouble," Yoselin said, unaware that Yasmine wasn't easy to deal with either.

After chatting about Nathan for a bit, Yoselin suddenly asked, "Yonas, you really love Yasmine, don't you? I know you want to be with her, but before that, you've got to handle things with Irene first."

Picking up on the tension in the air, Yoselin teased, "Hey, Yonas, don't forget I can lend a hand. I'm staying with Yasmine now, and you know what they say about seizing the opportunity We've got a deal-you'll marry Yasmine."

"Okay, keep me posted if anything comes up." Yonas ended the call and immediately instructed his assistant to look into the Crescent Isle blueprint details.

Just a day after Crescent Isle's concept images were released, chaos erupted at Morgan's company. The Planning Department was in turmoil, and the technical team working on Misty Evergreen Isle was in a frenzy.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

When Morgan got the blueprints, he instantly passed them on for a brainstorming session between the design team and the Planning Department. The plan was to wait until the concept images were ready to show to the public. But Irene got ahead of them. Without the original designer sketches, taking legal action would be almost impossible.

Morgan was still figuring out how to respond when the board of directors called an emergency meeting that he had to attend.

Morgan had already heard the rumors about the board meeting it was clearly about the stolen plans. But when Brody sternly claimed Yasmine was the one responsible, Morgan's face turned serious.

"Uncle Brody, what's that supposed to mean?" Morgan asked, his tone icy.

Uncle Brody replied gravely, "What else could it mean? Morgan, the plans were leaked through Yasmine, so she should be held accountable."

With a smirk, Morgan said, "Looks like you're forgetting something, Uncle Brody. I was the one who gave Yasmine those planning strategies. If anyone's getting blamed, it should be me

Neither Brody nor the other directors saw Morgan's words coming. Trying to smooth things over, another director chimed in, "Chairman, we're just looking out for the Sanchez Group. Yasmine has always been more of a figurehead, and her big mistake has really hit the company hard..."

"So, what exactly do you mean by that?" Morgan asked, narrowing his eyes.

Clearing his throat a couple of times, the man suggested, "We should offer Yasmine money and buy out all her shares."

Morgan took a deep breath and said, "People, do you really think these words honor the late Chairman Keaton? It's an undeniable fact that the Sanchez Group belongs to Yasmine. So, let's not bring this up around me again."

He walked out of the meeting room without another word, knowing full well that those people wouldn't back down even after this unsuccessful attempt.

Morgan hadn't been home lately, and it was driving Donna crazy She'd come here just to get closer to him, but now she couldn't even catch a glimpse. To top it off, Morgan hadn't placed her at the main office but stuck her in a branch, where seeing him was impossible. Yoselin and Yasmine walked in from school, only to find Donna glaring at them. Yoselin, clearly annoyed, snapped, "What's your problem?"

"Morgan really spoils you. He just bought that necklace at an auction and sent it straight to you," Donna remarked, her jealousy unmistakable.

Yasmine easily picked up on her meaning. She picked up the necklace from the table, saying, "Yeah, it's pretty nice.

Donna swallowed her envy, her tone dripping with sarcasm, "What did you do to make Morgan treat you like this? Anyone would think you're a couple," she quipped.

"Think before you speak," Yasmine said with a sharp edge in her voice.

"Who are you talking about? Yasmine, you should really watch your attitude," Donna said with a smug expression. "Don't you know the board is planning to buy out your shares and kick you out of the Sanchez Group?" Yasmine/paused for a moment before speaking, "What the board decides is none of your business, Donna. You need to know your place."

Pointing a finger at Yasmine, Donna fumed, "How dare you accuse me! You should look at yourself first. The Misty Evergreen Isle plan leaked because of you, and it's caused huge losses to the Sanchez Group. You're the one who should be accountable. Let's see how long you can keep smirking." Yasmine stepped closer to Donna and said, "Let's be straightforward. You took the project plan I had. Why hand it over to the White Group? Do you know Irene?"

"It's not really your business, but I'll tell you anyway. Don't try to cross me; you won't win," Donna warned.

Yoselin snapped, "So it was you who stole it."

"It's karma, and you deserve it. Who leaves documents out in the open? I just walked in and saw them. Blame yourself for being careless," Donna mocked as she turned and went back inside.

Yasmine and Yoselin exchanged looks. Yasmine asked, "Did you manage to record it all?"

Yoselin waved the recorder, "Sure did."

Yasmine smiled in satisfaction. In just two days, it would be the White Group's interview event. She had a big surprise planned for Irene.

The next afternoon, Yasmine was carrying a pile of documents to the third-floor office, where the school counselor worked. After placing them on Abel's desk, she noticed the distressed look on his face and his vacant stare. "Abel?" she asked gently, aware that the next class was his.

"What's up?" Abel asked, quickly snapping back to reality, like waking from a bad dream.

Yasmine was surprised to see Abel in such a state. In her mind, he was always a dedicated and honest teacher. They had worked on projects together, and she knew him as both gentle and diligent.

Yasmine had often walked past his office. Other teachers might be chatting or spacing out, but Abel was always busy working. Today was indeed a rare exception.
