My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2778

Night fell.

After ensuring Kaden and Elias were settled, Nash returned to his room. For the past few days, he had remained inseparable from the two generals.

However, a sense of unease lingered in his heart. Ever since he received the two's wills, he had been feeling anxious throughout the day. Faced with such a heavy burden from the generals, he truly did not know how to cope.

The phone rang.

Nash pulled out his phone. It was Hera calling. He had taken precautions at the hospital, but he also learned that the hospital's director was a martial artist and would help stay vigilant.

Nash answered the call and asked in a gentle tone, "What's wrong? Haven't you gone to sleep yet?"

"No." Hera's voice seemed slightly choked.

He noticed this immediately. "What's wrong? Honey, are you crying?"

She denied it, saying, "No, you heard wrong. By the way, you must stay safe, okay?"

Nash chuckled and then said in an exaggerated tone, "Don't worry, your husband is a great hero! This is a piece of cake for me. I'll definitely bring the two elders back safely."

Hera continued, "That's not what I meant."

"Huh?" Nash felt confused.

Hera looked at Soren beside her, then reminded him in a serious tone, "I'm talking about you. You must come back safe and sound."

Nash could not help but smile at her words. He gently replied, "Okay."

"Mm, goodnight, honey."

"Goodnight."

With that, she hung up the phone.

As the dial tone echoed in his ear, Nash fell into deep thought. He felt warm inside as he looked at the reflection on the glass. He said to himself, "Nash, you truly are lucky."

Just then, Nash's phone rang again. He instinctively thought it was Hera calling again and answered without looking.

"Hello? What's up?"

"Long time no see, Mr. Calcraft."noveldrama

Nash realized it was not Hera. He glanced at the phone and recognized the number.

"The youngest prince of Sand Country? So, it's you."

On the other end, Peter asked, "You're coming along with your leaders, right?"

Nash did not hide anything. "Yes, why? I didn't expect you to actually call me given how busy you are."

Peter joked, "I'm not as busy as you, Mr. Calcraft. I'm just a prince, while your reputation has spread worldwide."

Nash exchanged polite remarks with him but knew Peter was not calling just for small talk.

"Alright, Your Highness. Let's get to the point."

Peter said directly, "My purpose for calling is quite simple. Mr. Calcraft, please try to cancel this trip."

Nash felt confused. "Why?"

Peter explained, "What I'm saying might sound a bit absurd, but think about it from another angle. There have always been many conflicts between Sand Country and Gorgeous Country, so how could we ever be at peace with each other? It seems nearly impossible from my perspective."
