Kiss My Revenge The Heiress Strikes Back

Chapter 372

Apparently, they'd done their work, figuring out Miranda had orchestrated the lowball sale of NeuraCore, cleverly outmaneuvering the Hawke family.

"Of course not," Darcy said with a smile.

"I'm here to invite you back to our family."

With that, Darcy laid his cards on the table. A trace of surprise flashed across Miranda's eyes. Even Carter hadn't seen this coming.

"Invite me back?" Miranda echoed, skepticism coloring her voice.

Darcy nodded. "Precisely."

"Miranda, you're incredibly talented. You've got a sharp mind and a knack for leadership that surpasses anyone else your age. Among the young generation of the Hawke family, you're undoubtedly the most capable. We acknowledge your strengths and invite you to return. Become a candidate for the Hawke Group's leadership," Darcy said, each word deliberate and weighted as his gaze was fixed on her.

Miranda knitted her brows. "Candidate?"

"Exactly. The heir to the Hawke Group is chosen from the best and brightest of each generation. It's survival of the fittest. The one who rises to the top is always the most exceptional of the Hawke bloodline. We're a family business, and we must ensure the continuity of our legacy. You're outstanding, and I've already discussed this with my father. We want you to join this competition. If you emerge victorious, you could become the head and hierarch of the Hawke Group."

Miranda got the gist. Carter did too. They were trying to recruit her, seeing her potential and wanting her back as a potential heir.

Carter had no objections to this. In fact, he quite liked the idea of Miranda returning to the Hawke family. It meant being family, he could hang around her as much as he wanted without any pretense.

"So, this is why you're here?" Miranda asked.

Darcy nodded. "Yes, that's the real reason I came. I know you've got a good relationship with the Lancaster family and that President Lancaster considers you his goddaughter But you're not a Lancaster by blood. They won't ever let you truly become the heir to their empire.

I also know you have other ventures, but the Hawke family's global influence is

incomparable to the Lancaster Group."

Miranda curled her lips slightly. "I see. Anything else?"

Darcy studied her for a moment, and then shook his head lightly. "No, that's it."

Miranda stood up. "If there's nothing else, I'll be on my way."

Darcy and Carter exchanged a glance.

"Wait," Darcy called after her. "You're just going to leave? I haven't heard your thoughts."

Miranda replied, "I don't have any. I have no intention of getting involved with the Hawke family or going back to the family. For me, your empire means nothing, it doesn't entice me. So, you've said your piece, and I've heard it. Nothing more to discuss."

She didn't need the money. Miranda believed that with Marion managing her ventures and investments, her future assets wouldn't be any less than the Hawke Group's.

Besides, she had no real connection

to the main Hawke family. No

reason to dive into those murky waters. They were practically strangers, and it was meaningless to make such a fuss.

"Miranda." Carter spoke up this time. "You won't even come back to the family?"noveldrama

Miranda looked at Carter, his eyes wide with a mix of hope and something akin to puppy-dog pleading. Her lips curled slightly upwards. "What does it have any connection with me?"

With that, Miranda turned and left.
