Chapter 1725
Shelly had this natural way of fitting in, effortlessly greeting everyone with a warm smile as she nestled in next to Tyler. She leaned in a little closer, playing the part of the affectionate partner to a tee.
"Hey there, I'm Shelly," she chimed in, giving Tyler a look that said more than words before resting her head on his shoulder. Her smile didn't waver a bit. "I'm Tyler's future girlfriend."
That statement caught everyone off guard, leaving them momentarily speechless.
"What nonsense are you spouting! I never agreed to that. If you keep this up, you need to leave and stop bothering me," Tyler shot back, clearly annoyed.
His words hit home, and Shelly quieted down, though she still flirted with Tyler, just not as boldly claiming the future girlfriend title.
Fiona checked her watch; Jackson hadn't shown up yet, but Kimberly had arrived.
"Let's eat, Jackson might be running late," Kimberly suggested, and with everyone's stomachs growling, there were no objections.
Just as they started digging in, a ruckus broke out at the entrance.
The place wasn't the quietest, but it had a great vibe and the food had that genuine American flavor, which is why they chose it in the first place.
Everyone in the group was pretty new to the States, even Kimberly and Jackson. They'd never been here before due to past tensions with the main branch of the Woods family, who wouldn't tolerate their presence.
"Fiona, try this," Kimberly said, putting some beef in her bowl.
Tyler joined in by placing some peeled shrimp in her bowl, while Shelly, waiting for her turn, was disappointed to see Tyler's plate empty.
"Tyler, you really love peeling shrimp, don't you? You were into it back in the Capital and still are here in the States," Nash quipped with a mischievous grin, enjoying the scene. noveldrama
"Jules, can you peel one for me too?" Shelly asked Tyler with a hopeful look.
"Haven't you got hands?" Tyler replied bluntly, not mincing words.
Though Shelly felt a twinge of irritation, she quickly composed herself and noticed some commotion at the door of their private dining room.
She was already fuming, so these uninvited guests were just what she needed to vent her frustration.
Before she could intervene, the door swung open, and a server was shoved inside.
"I'm telling you, this room was booked ages ago, and you can see they're already eating," the server pleaded.
Among the troublemakers, Fiona recognized a few faces, including the girl who used to lead the bullying in her dorm, though her name
escaped her. However, she did recognize Amy.
Amy was leaning against the doorframe, engrossed in her phone, not even noticing Fiona.
"I don't care about your rules; I want this room today. Besides, I always use this room. Get your manager,"
demanded Jane, the Kidd family's eldest daughter.
Used to getting her way and backed by the Larkin family, Jane dismissed everyone else as insignificant.
Shelly slammed her hand on the table, eyes blazing as she pointed at Jane and shouted, "Jane, you've got some nerve!"
What do you think?
