Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1724

"Don't worry about it," Jackson said with a soft chuckle, leaving it at that.

Once they left Grandpa Woods' place, Jackson and Kimberly found their way through the Woods estate surprisingly unimpeded. It was much smoother this time, although the curious and puzzled looks from the family members followed them.

They headed straight to the house where their parents used to live. It had been left empty for a long time, but thankfully, a housekeeper had been keeping it clean. While the place looked old, it was bigger than other houses in the Woods family. With a bit of sprucing up, it could even outshine the main branch of the Woods in New York.

Kimberly searched the house carefully, just in case the old man had left any gadgets to keep an eye on them. They couldn't rule out the possibility.

Their thoroughness paid off when they found several dusty micro-cameras. They were clearly outdated, buried under layers of dust. After removing the batteries, they tossed them into the trash.

Meanwhile, some of the older Woods family members, aware that Jackson and Kimberly were back, were keen to keep an eye on them. But when they tried to fire up the old surveillance system, they found nothing but blank screens-the devices had been ditched.

Once settled, Jackson sent a reassuring message to Fiona.noveldrama

Over on Fiona's side, she was getting comfy in her dorm, which was set up just like her old school, Eastwood Academy.

"Are you the Fiona who aced the exams?" A girl with heavy makeup in the dorm eyed her curiously, clutching a limited-edition lipstick.

Fiona nodded, acknowledging her.

The next moment, she was almost knocked onto her bed.

"I've been dying to meet you! I can't believe we're in the same dorm, Fiona! How did you suddenly get so smart? did some digging, and you always seemed pretty average, even a bit of a rebel, getting into fights and all. Did you learn some secret tricks? Can you teach me? My family's at their wits' end."

Fiona gently pushed her away to maintain a bit of space, brushing off the strong fragrance that clung to her clothes.

"Amy, give it a rest. It's clear she

doesn't want you getting too close," chimed another girl lounging nearby, munching on snacks, her tone dripping with disdain. "So what if

she's a top student? I'm the top of

my class too. It's not like she's royalty."

Fiona gave her a glance, placed her backpack down, and tossed it onto the bed. "Sorry, I just don't like being touched, and I'm not a fan of your perfume."

Amy awkwardly stepped back a couple of paces, sniffing at her own scent. It seemed that the new perfume she was trying out wasn't as pleasant as she'd hoped, making even her sneeze several times.

"Sorry about that, I was just trying out a new perfume. I'll go take a shower."

After Fiona organized her stuff, she noticed a message from Jackson. It seemed her brother had already settled in at the Woods estate. Jackson had sent her an address, initially planning to pick her up, but ended up getting called to the

company by Grandpa Woods.

Jackson had been itching for a reason to visit the company, and this was perfect -it gave him access to the main branch of the Woods family business, which was a big opportunity for him.

With plans set, Fiona sent out a meeting notice to Tyler and the others, and Jasmine was joining as well. She was surprised when Shelly also decided to tag along once they reached their spot.
