Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1659

"Since you think Jackson is so great, maybe I should have him pick you up every day."

Nash just shrugged. "I was just saying."

"Let's invite her to lunch," Fiona suggested, nodding toward the actress on stage.

"I'm not going. She might put me off my food."

Fiona shot him a look that shut him up real quick, and he hurried off to let the actress know about their lunch plans.

But soon enough, her assistant came back with the news that she was having lunch with Jackson, so she turned down Nash and Fiona's invite.

"Great, let's make Jackson foot the bill," Nash hummed a little tune as he walked off.

Fiona headed to the restroom, and when she came out, she bumped right into the actress.

"Are you the schoolgirl who's always hanging onto Jackson?"

Fiona turned on the faucet, hesitating a moment before deciding not to engage.

She wasn't here to waste time with people like her. She just wanted to get to the bottom of whatever was happening between Allen and Erica. Allen's personal life wasn't her concern.

But with Erica currently at the General Hospital, she couldn't let the hospital get dragged into a mess.

"Fine, don't answer. But since you're here, why not join Jackson and me for lunch? It'll give you a chance to see that you can't come between us."

Fiona stayed silent, her words hitting like a punch into a pillow, leaving no mark.

When Fiona stepped outside, she saw Nash, still simmering with youthful indignation.

"I heard everything. That girl is bad news, Fiona. I'm telling you, I'll make sure Jackson knows. He wouldn't go for someone like her. My mom could take her down without breaking a sweat!"

Fiona laughed at Nash's dramatic flair. She used to think he was a bit of a snob,

but now he was truly fired up.

"Come on, my brother's waiting for us outside."

They left the office, and Jackson's car was parked right out front. As they got in, they noticed the actress sitting next to Jackson, looking like the perfect picture of a sweet and innocent lady, practically begging for sympathy.

If Fiona didn't already know what she was like, she might have been fooled too.

"Fiona, come sit next to me," Jackson called, waving her over.

Fiona nodded and snuggled up next to him. She always got carsick, and sitting made it worse, so she quickly dozed off in his arms.

When Fiona woke up, she found

herself in a private booth at Golden Times with Nash and Jackson. Nash was lounging with his legs crossed, getting a gentle scolding from Jackson while also looking after Fiona.

"What's going on?" Fiona asked, rubbing her head, still feeling a bit out of it. "Where's the other person?"noveldrama

"I told you, Jackson wouldn't go for someone like her. She was the one all over him. If it wasn't for a slight resemblance, no one would have given her a second glance."

Fiona turned to Jackson, wanting to hear it from him. She trusted his words more than Nash's explanations.
