Chapter 1306
The excitement in her voice was undeniable. "Can you believe it? I've never seen your Uncle John act so gentle before! He was incredibly kind to Flora, even apologized to her! We were stunned, thinking he was going to give Flora a hard time! Tara, it seems both your Uncle John and Uncle Mike are quite fond of Flora!"
Tara's smile froze on her face.
No way...
She had asked Samuel to give Flora a hard time, so how could he end up apologizing to her?
Tara's mind was in turmoil, her thoughts swirling as she ended the call. Just then, the butler's voice came from the doorway, respectfully announcing, "Master of the House," signaling Samuel's return!
Tara quickly got up and hurried to the entrance.
Dressed in black, Samuel walked in with heavy steps, his expression dark and somewhat intimidating.
"Uncle John..." Tara felt a twinge of unease seeing Samuel like this.
"Hey, Tara." Upon seeing her, Samuel's gaze softened.
"Uncle, what's going on?" Tara asked softly, noticing he seemed exhausted.
"It's nothing," Samuel shook his head, paused, and then continued, "Tara, I went to talk to Flora for you. She's not the person you described. Seems like there's been a misunderstanding between you two. You're both around the same age; you should try to be friends." Just as she feared, Uncle John had fallen under Flora's spell!
Tara felt her heart burning with frustration, but she kept a smile plastered on her face: "Uncle, I was just too worked up earlier. Once I calmed down, I realized Flora isn't like that. I was just worried you might be harsh. I'm relieved you weren't. I knew you'd understand me." Hearing this, Samuel felt a bit reassured. He did like Flora, as she reminded him of his younger sister, but he had also cared for Tara for years. It would be ideal if they could be friends.novelbin
Not in the mood to talk further, Samuel headed to his room.
As soon as he left, Tara's facade crumbled.
That witch Flora!
Even Uncle John was under her charm!
She couldn't just sit by and do nothing, or Flora would walk all over her in the future.
With a determined expression, Tara pulled out her phone and made a call.
"Hey, Sydney, are you home? I'm coming over."
...
Half an hour later.
Tara arrived at the Sanders' place, where a servant warmly guided her to Sydney.
Upon seeing Tara, Sydney burst into tears: "Tara!"
Since being kicked out of the Medical Institute, she barely left the house. Her brother was disgraced, and so was she; the Sanders family had fallen, all thanks to Flora
Tara comforted her, gently patting her back: "Don't cry, you don't look well. Haven't you been resting?"
"How could I rest?" Sydney sobbed, "I'm the laughingstock of the Medical Community!"
Being expelled from the Medical Institute had shattered her dreams.
Tara consoled her: "Don't cry, don't let others break you down. I've been having a rough time too."
Tara sighed, her expression turning bitter: "Flora's in the Medical Institute now. She's arrogant and has someone backing her. It's like she owns the place; even I get pushed around."
"She did this to you?!" Sydney exclaimed, "Tara, you're the heir of the top family in the Medical Community, what gives her the guts? You're just too nice, that's why she picks on you. If you tell your uncles, Flora wouldn't stand a chance!"
