Dumping Him for His Uncle (Natasha and Zachary)

Chapter 92

Natasha pulled out her phone and typed frantically. She vented to Jack about things that made her unhappy.

"Mr. Foster, your phone's buzzing," someone informed him.

As soon as Zachary got off the ship, he headed straight to the office for a meeting.

His phone rang nonstop since the start. He didn't bother to silence it. Instead, he picked it up and stared at it.

The longer he looked, the deeper his frown grew. The employees in the meeting room grew anxious at the change of his expression.

Whenever Zachary looked like that, it usually meant that he was about to lose his temper. In the end, he just put his phone down with a puzzled sigh.

The atmosphere in the room seemed to rise and fall depending on Zachary's mood. Fortunately, they managed to get through the meeting without incident.

"Do you think something happened to Mr. Foster? Why does he look so upset?" Some of the employees whispered among themselves. They had never seen Zachary like this, not even when the company was in a crisis.

"I'm guessing it's your typical case of a guy falling for a pretty face. Even the strongest ones slip up when it comes to stuff like that," one of the guys said, as if speaking from experience.

The others rolled their eyes and ignored him. After all, none of them believed something like that would happen to Zachary.

...

The next morning, Natasha woke up to a full night's sleep. However, the dark circles beneath her eyes were still visible.

"Natasha, I heard you're back. If you're alright, come back to campus and handle the paperwork as soon as you can."noveldrama

Yancy had called early that morning while Natasha had been brushing her teeth. She immediately agreed.

After she got ready, she opened her apartment door, where Matthew stood waiting.

"How did you get in?" Natasha asked.

There were security personnel at the entrance to the building. He shouldn't have been able to enter without her permission.

Matthew didn't offer any explanation. Instead, he stepped closer and backed Natasha up into her apartment.

She had no choice but to step back. "Matthew! This is trespassing. If you leave now, I won't press charges," she warned.

But her words didn't faze him. He kept moving until her back hit the edge of the dining table.

"Hand over the video," he demanded.

Only then did Natasha realize the reason for his visit.

"Matthew, let's be clear here. You're the one asking me for the video. Don't you think you should be a little more polite?" she reminded him.

She pushed his arm away and poured herself a glass of water.

"You should've considered the consequences before doing what you did," she added.

If she hadn't overheard the argument between him and Zachary back then, Zachary might not even be alive today.

"So how much do you want this time?" he asked coldly.

In Matthew's eyes, Natasha was nothing more than an object with a price tag. Anything that could be bought with money had no worth to him.

Natasha shrugged. "I had a number in mind. But with that attitude? The deal's probably off.

"Matthew, you do realize this video gives me the upper hand, right? It doesn't matter how much I ask for. Whether I delete it or not isn't your call to make either," Natasha said with a smirk. For once, it felt good to be the one in control of the situation.

"Hey! Don't push your luck. 500 thousand dollars," Matthew offered.

As soon as he finished, Natasha slapped him across the face. The slap caught him off guard. He hadn't anticipated it at all, so he stared at her in disbelief.

"How does it feel to be humiliated?" she asked coldly. "You did the same to me multiple times back at the bar."

Her hands clenched into tight fists as she remembered the past. A rich young man like him had many tricks up his sleeve to manipulate others.
