Miranda took the earring, thanked Sawyer again, and put it back on as she walked.

He began, “Ms. Sutton…”

“Is there anything else?” she asked.

Sawyer stammered, “I I was wondering if I could treat you to a meal. How about tonight? If you’re busy, just let me know when you’re available so I can reschedule.

Miranda was somewhat confused, “Why would you want to treat me to a meal?”

“Well…” He hesitated but quickly found a reason “My cousin said the study guide you sent her was really helpful. She asked me to treat you to a meal and thank you in person. Yes. I want to thank you.”

“Sorry, I still have work to do.” She pointed to the lab in front of her. “I’m pretty tied up these days, and I’m not sure when I’ll be free.”

“Then-”

“Then, I’ll head inside first.” Miranda cut him off and quickly walked toward the door.

Sawyer glanced at the sign beside the door and couldn’t help but read aloud, “Infinity Lab.” He returned to his car and immediately pulled out his phone to search for related information

“Established in… Initiator… Current academic achievements…”

He knew Miranda was exceptional. After all, she was a graduate student from Bedford College and earned her place through sheer talent. But he never imagined she was this capable.

She had her own lab, spearheaded new projects, and published many research papers with impressive impact factors.

As he became absorbed in reading, a smile spread across his face.

Suddenly, a black Volkswagen sped past his car and honked loudly.

“What the hell…”

There were no cars ahead, his car hadn’t moved, and nothing was blocking the road–why was the other driver so angry?

“Unbelievable,” Sawyer muttered before going back to scroll through the information. Soon, the smile on his lips grew wider.

After returning to the lab, Miranda immediately changed into a fresh set of clothes and made herself a cup of ginger tea to ward off the cold.

+25 BORIS.

“So, how did it go? Is there a chance?” Madison approached with a smile. With her hands. propped under his chin, her round face puffed out like a flower in full bloom.

Miranda replied, “The equipment will be delivered at the beginning of next month.‘

‘Really? That’s awesome! How much of a discount did they give?”

30%,” Miranda replied. novelbin

Madison was taken aback.

Sam had told them the best discount he could get from any local sales company was only 10%. Miranda said she would handle the negotiation with the main distributor. Madison thought the best they could get was 20%, but now they ended up with a 30% discount.”

“Miranda.” Madison held her hand with admiration in her eyes. “You’re my idol.”

Miranda laughed. “Alright, stop joking. How many data sets have we got? Is it enough for the sample testing?”

Madison froze like a deer caught in headlights. “Only… two sets. I’ll keep an eye on it. I’ll make sure we get two more before it gets dark.” With that, she hurried back to the lab bench.

Miranda shook her head and smiled. She put on her lab coat and returned to the experiment area. On the desk was a set of organized materials she had asked Madison to collect yesterday.

After looking through them, she couldn’t help but nod. “This is well–organized, with data from foreign labs as well. Nice work.”

“Huh?” Madison turned around. “Miranda, what materials are you talking about?”

Miranda waved the documents in her hand. “This.”

“Oh! I didn’t compile that.”

“Huh?” Miranda was taken aback.

“Dr. Jefferson sent it,” Madison responded.
