Too Late, Mr. Billionaire: You can’t afford me now

Chapter 832

Chapter 832:

The mood shifted. Faces softened, annoyance giving way to sympathy.

“Oh, she’s pregnant? Poor thing.”

“Don’t worry about it—it happens.”

“Morning sickness can be rough. Hope she feels better soon.”

“Thank you all for understanding,” Eric said, his smile full of gratitude. Then he looked down at Hadley, brushing a strand of hair from her damp forehead. His voice dropped to a gentle murmur. “Feeling better now? It’s okay—you can throw up on me anytime.”

Hadley shook her head gently, the worst of the nausea now passed.

The elevator doors slid open. The other passengers quickly filed out, shooting sympathetic glances in their direction. Eric waited until the last of them had gone before stepping out, still holding her. The moment they exited, Hadley pushed him away.

She frowned as she glanced at the mess on his chest. “You should go clean up. Find a restroom or something.”

Eric gave a small laugh and shook his head. “If I do that, I’ll have to come out half-naked. Let’s just get to the car. Let’s go.”

At the parking lot, he handed his coat to her, and then calmly began pulling off his soiled cashmere sweater and shirt. In seconds, he was bare-chested.

They were near the TV station entrance—recordings had just wrapped, and people were pouring out. It didn’t take long for heads to turn. A tall, strikingly handsome man, undressing in the open air? He was bound to attract attention.

“Is he someone famous?”

“He’s so good-looking.”

“Maybe he’s a model?”

Hadley’s eyes widened in panic. “Quick!” She rushed to drape the coat over him.

Eric glanced at her, eyes glinting with amusement. “Aw, jealous already?” he teased, playfully pinching her nose. “Didn’t think you were the possessive type.”

Hadley stared at him, speechless. Seriously? He really thought this was about jealousy?

She’d just thrown up on him—he had to get rid of the stained clothes and was left half-naked in the cold. She was just worried he’d catch something, not that other people might see him.

Eric, still grinning like he’d won something, slipped on the coat and gathered up his ruined clothes. Without hesitation, he tossed the bundled mess into a nearby trash can.

Then he looked back at her, flashing that boyish grin. “Alright, alright—I get it. I’m yours. No one else gets a peek.”

Hadley quickly turned her head away.

When he smiled like that, it was too much. She still didn’t know how to deal with it.

Back at Silver Villas, Fiona was already waiting at the door.

“Mr. Flynn, Miss Pearson. Perfect timing,” she said warmly. “Dinner is ready. I won’t disturb you tonight. Just leave the dishes in the sink later—I’ll take care of them in the morning. Goodnight.”noveldrama

With that, she disappeared, having clearly received instructions from Eric earlier.

“Hadley.” Eric pulled her into his arms, his face pressing into the curve of her neck. His voice was low, warm against her skin. “These past few days without you… do you have any idea how much I missed you?” Then he whispered, “Did you miss me too?”
