too late for a second chance novel (Lila and Dorian)

Chapter 507

At the Morgan Group collaboration event, aside from the Moore family, many other domestic companies also attended.

No one was particularly surprised by the Morgans' comeback.

The companies that had supported them during their lowest point were now seated as VIP guests for this partnership.

Among them, the Joyce Group, Lane Group, and Jones Group from Terry's family stood out the most.

Originally, Amelia had planned to have lunch with Lila at Magi Pictures' employee cafeteria.

But just as lunchtime rolled around, Benjamin dragged her back before she could refuse.

At the entrance, Vince was already waiting. Dressed in a tailored suit, he looked every bit the part of a polished businessman.

Meanwhile, Amelia, in a casual dress with a trench coat thrown over it, looked much more like she was headed to a gathering with friends rather than a high- profile gala.

As she walked up to him, she hesitated for a brief second before finally placing her hand in his.

Hand in hand, they stepped into the venue together.

Benjamin and Charlotte immediately grinned from ear to ear at the sight, while Lucas, standing beside them, smirked in amusement.

After greeting the elders, Amelia quickly pulled Vince toward a quieter corner.

"Aren't you tired of this act?" she muttered, letting go of his hand and casually picking up a piece of pre-cut fruit from the table.

It tasted good. Without much thought, she pushed the plate toward him.

Vince glanced at it but didn't move.

Amelia frowned. "Don't tell me you expect me to feed you. That'd be overacting, don't you think?"

Just as she finished speaking, her phone buzzed twice.

It was a message from Lila.

Opening it, Amelia nearly jumped. Lila had sent her two photos.

She quickly typed a reply. "You don't pay this much attention to your man, but you

sure saw this fast. Are you sure I'm not the one you actually like?"

The photos were taken by the media just moments ago. It showed both her and Vince walking hand in hand.

She didn't wait for a response, simply locking her phone and setting it aside. Then, without missing a beat, she handed Vince a fork with a piece of fruit on it.

Vince took the fork from her, his

fingers accidentally brushing again lingered for a brief secouch

the

of Amelia's hand.

"Amelia, have you ever considered that maybe being together and getting married wouldn't be such a bad idea?"

Amelia choked on her saliva, staring at him like he had lost his mind.

She took a moment to recover before asking, "Do you even like me? And you want to get married?"

"I can learn to."noveldrama

Amelia let out a dry laugh. "Vince, let's not do this."

Casually, she tossed the used fork into the trash. "I'm going over there."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and headed toward Kieran.

As the head of Morgan Group, Kieran sat among a crowd of top executives. Though younger than most of them, his presence was just as commanding.

Leaning back on the couch with his legs crossed, he gave off the illusion of being approachable.

"Faith, pour Mr. Morgan a drink," Harrison instructed.

Kieran lifted his gaze slightly. "Bring a few extra glasses."

Harrison frowned but still signaled for the staff to comply.

Faith uncorked a new bottle and poured five drinks. "Mr. Morgan, please."

Standing at a distance, Amelia silently observed the exchange, her brows furrowing.

She distinctly remembered that Kieran wasn't much of a drinker. So why was he suddenly pouring five glasses at once?

Was he planning to get drunk and have a moment with the beautiful lady beside him?

Reaching for her phone, she quickly prepared to text Lila, just in case they needed to catch him in the act.

But she had completely forgotten to ask Lila, did they ever sign a prenup before getting married?

Probably not, right?

Which meant if Kieran did cheat, they could make sure he walked away with nothing.

Kieran turned to Harrison. "Morgan Group values this partnership with the Moore family."

Harrison responded with a

respectful nod. "It's an honor for us

to collaborate with Morgan Group. We're grateful for the opportunity and look forward to a successful partnership."
