Caden approached with determined steps.
He took Alice's arm and gently pulled her away, moving her a little away from the man.

My apologies if I have interrupted your flirtation.”

Alice said, "The gem is mine.
I will pay for it now."
Caden said slowly, “I’ve already paid for it.”
Alice paused.
She looked at him, bewildered.
Caden, however, was focused on the man in front of him.
“The necklace only cost three million dollars to produce.
Has the bar for impressing women fallen that low?” Caden’s smile was disdainful.
“Maybe you want to use those two hundred million dollars to woo someone less expensive.”
Alice was speechless.
Caden's sharp tongue always caught her off guard.
It was surprising that he hadn't been killed by women yet.
The man, sophisticated enough to take Caden's hint, chose to leave discreetly to avoid further confrontation.
Caden turned to Alicia.
He said sarcastically, “Looks like you have quite a few admirers.
Did he touch you before I arrived?”
Alice frowned.

Caden replied, “Yes.
I had the necklace brought to my car.
If you want it, come with me to pick it up.”
Alice asked irritably, "Why did you pay for something I bid on? What were you thinking?"
