The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

"I'm not planning anything Adam" she said as though she had sensed his thoughts. "What could I be possibly planning inside this cell?"

"You can drill the wall, climb through the walls and off you go"

"Fantastic" Alexandra applauds. She never thought about that. She wouldn't do that with Nathaniel badly injured and Adam's guards watching her like a hulk.

Adam coughed, disappointed. "You are a terrible person so I better not let my guard"noveldrama

"You make me look like some criminal"

"You're a criminal Alexandra. That's what got you here"

"I checked myself in"

Adam watched as Alexandra attempted to maneuverer the way around. "You should stop" He said.

"Stop what?"

"You are not getting out of here Alexandra. You are now my prisoner"

"Cute" she widened her smile.

Adam looked at her, she was certainly driving him crazy. He was jealous of Nathaniel, jealous of seeing her together with Nathaniel. Jealous of their closeness, the attraction between them. Adam groaned and pushed the thought out of his head, if he didn't know her better would think she was a femme fatale.

"You are cute but your cuteness isn't going to get you out of here"

"It isn't?" Her brow arched up at him.

"Yea. I am not Nathaniel"

Alexandra frowned. She was sure what he was rambling about. "You don't think... you don't think I want you do you?"

"Of course you do. That's why you have been acting all flirty towards me"

Alexandra glared at him. She wanted to be rude and harsh towards him not flirt with him. That's not what she wanted. Adam was a crazy man, no wonder he got it all mixed up.

"You're insane. Why will I want you in that manner?"

"You tell me Alexandra"

She squared up her chin stubbornly. She was not going to be one of his numerous women. That was the difference between her and Olivia.

"I'm not interested in you"

"Why are you all cheeky?"

"Because!..." She exhaled. She wasn't about to fed his curious mind and let him know that she was only trying to find out a way to heal Nathaniel.

"Because what?" Adam reached for the his key in his pocket. His eyes firmly fixed on Alexandra. He wasn't going to let this slid.

Alexandra laughed. "I'm not Olivia. You cannot have me. I will never want you"

Adam glared at her, she wasn't what he wanted so be it but she better stop rubbing it to his face all the time else he would loose his cool and deal with her in a very bad way.

"You made your point" Adam admits.

"Hope it sank through your skull?"

Adam nodded suddenly. "Of course it did. What matters to me now is my Coronation. Leading the people into conquering other packs" He adds and Alexandra's eyes widened.

He didn't mind waging war against other pack and if he wins, he leads the pack. That was old school and a dubious plan for someone who hasn't even been allowed to rule.

"Is a good thing you've already mapped out your plan"

Adam grinned. The grin of someone who just conquered. "Of course is all in my head"

"And in your head, it didn't tell you that is wrong to wage war"

"Nah. You see for centuries the Guerrero pack has been weakened due to the number of Alpha's I found incompetent"

"And who are those if I may ask?"

"You" He said. "You shouldn't have been made Alpha. Is one mistake the pack made and they are going to pay for it" He pulled away from the bars. She pauses and faced him, he had a deadly demeanour and that sent shivers across her body.

"You think you will be better than I"

"I don't think Alexandra. I know for a fact. A woman like you is meant to be under me"

Alexandra frowned suddenly. His words were certainly out of line and she wouldn't

let him demean her any further.

"Watch your words. I am not yours"

"Right" He smiled as if remembering.

Adam narrowed her eyes. "Wouldn't be bad, would it?"

"Adam" She whispered hoping he would get the hint and zip it.

"Why? Am I lying? It wouldn't be so bad to have you"

"Adam!" She said aloud

"You will be next to me every time"

"Adam!" She yelled hitting her hand against the bar, glared at him. "You better

stay in your place if you wish to be the Alpha of this pack"

Adam stared at her silently. She meant those words. He doesn't need to be reminded, Alexandra was nothing like Olivia.

He rakes his hand through his messy hair. Adam couldn't fathom where this jealous and anger had evolved from. One thing he was sure, Olivia was always the one he wanted

Although there are times he would glance at Alexandra but she never glanced at him since she had a mate.

He wanted the Alpha position more than he wanted her so there was no point getting side tracked.

"Look at you Alexandra, you are always defensive when it comes to him"

"Isn't it clear enough why?"

"It is. But you know what's not clear"

"What is?"

"Why you are still hung up on him?"

Alexandra narrowed her eyes sharply towards Nathaniel. He wasn't sure what Adam was implying.

"Look at him, isn't he as good as dead?" He grinned. The grin of victory mapped over his face.

She glanced at Nathaniel for a long moment before averting her eyes towards Adam. He was. He was out of his mind to make such assumption.

"What are you implying?"

"Death" He whispered.

She frowned. Deep down she hoped she could reach across him them she wouldn't hesitate to strangle him for saying that about Nathaniel.

"What did you just say?" She twirled her fingers trying to calm her nerves. Her gaze deadly as she stared at him.
