The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Adam was jealous and angry at the same time. Why should it be Nathaniel? Why must it always be him having his way with Alexandra?

Not that he was going to say that to her face but his action said a lot but Alexandra didn't notice.

She felt nothing for him, all her mind was saving the man who meant the world to her. That was her only goal and that alone made Adam's blood boil.

"What if I say No to your offer?" Adam asked.

Alexandra looked into his eyes, she wasn't searching for anything in particular. Only thing she was trying to figure out is if he was alright. This is what he wanted. Hell No. This is why he came with troops. The very thing that triggered Veronica into wanting to kill her.

The same thing that ended her life in the past. He couldn't refuse her offer, he was only bluffing. She thought.

"What did you just say?" She asked as though she hadn't heard him clearly the first time.

"What if I refuse your offer?"

Alexandra glances around the room, deliberately glancing past where he stood staring at her.

"Why? Why would you want to refuse?"

"Let's see. Why should you strike a deal with the same thing you refused to offer"

"There was nothing I wanted to protect. Now there is something I desperately want to protect. No. There is something I want to protect more than my own life"

"You want to protect him more than your life"

"Yes!". She snapped annoyed at his questions. "What I want to protect isn't supposed to be of concern to you. What should matter to you is what you really want. That which you sole desires"

"You know my heart"

"You told me your heart and here I am trying to grant your wish"

"What if it has changed?"

Alexandra furrowed, he couldn't be serious. When did it change? Could he be pulling her legs? But they were not friends, he was her nemesis so she would have to rule out the last question popping in her head.

"Since when?"

"Starting now"

"You cannot be serious" Alexandra glared at him. She wasn't going to accept defeat. That would mean giving up on Nathaniel and loosing him forever.

She wanted him forever to be with him in a place where no one would have to bother them again. Not Olivia, nor Bernard and certainly not Adam. They will be far away from them.

"What more do you want?"

"You want to know what I want?" He said angered

"Yes" she retorts "Tell me what the hell changed your mind?"

"You changed my mind"

Alexandra arched up her brow at him like he had just lost his mind. "What the hell are you saying?"

"You got me to change my mind? Why are so surprised?"

"Why should I change your mind?"

Adam grinned trying to hide the jealousy in his heart. "Why should I take you up on your offer when I can let you be the Alpha?"

"I don't want to be the Alpha Adam. Is what you want, that's what you've always wanted"

"Why? Because of Nathaniel" He chuckled. "What if he's not in the picture"

"How?"

"What if I end him and let you stay by my side"

Alexandra glared at him, if eyes could kill, Adam would be long gone. His words were deep and out of thought.

What he was implying couldn't ever be achieved, Alexandra wasn't going to give up on Nathaniel, not now nor ever.

"You are out of your mind"

"Am I? The devil doesn't bargain, remember?"

"You are the devil that bargains so drop the act"

"It is not an act" He mumbled. He meant every word he said to her but that doesn't matter to Alexandra. It never did and that made him even more furious.

"What did you say?"

"It is not an act"

"Well I don't care"

"What does he have that I don't have?"

"Everything" Alexandra stands up. She was not going to beg him again. Not anymore but she would not let him harm Nathaniel either. She would rather die than stop trying to save Nathaniel.

"What?"

"Nathaniel has everything that you don't have so what exactly is your point?"

"I want what you give to him Alexandra. I want the way you look at him"

"You are crazy" She snapped angered.

"Yes I am crazy but all of this will be settled. If you are worried about Olivia. We can take care of her"

"Are you crazy?" She scoffed. "I have nothing to do with you"

"What if Nathaniel is out of the picture? Won't you want to have everything to do with me?"

"I'd die"

"What?"

"If Nathaniel is out of the picture then I will end my life. I have no reason living if I can't be by his side. Nathaniel is everything I want, everything you can never be and more especially. When he is not here, there is certainly no one to look at not even your shadow" Alexandra said with utmost sincerity.

Tears clouds her eyes and she blinked her eyes. Of course she wanted to let her emotions out but knowing Adam he would take that as a sign of weakness and attack and she wouldn't want that.

Letting her guard down now is certainly not the best thing.

"You are going to kill yourself for him"

"Yes" she states and that pissed Adam off.

His blood boils and his eyes turned red. If Alexandra wanted Nathaniel then she could have Nathaniel. Love hasn't been his thing, it has always been the pack. Becoming the Alpha is what he wanted right from when he was just a boy and now she was willingly offering it to him.

He wasn't going refuse her offer but he wasn't going to let them be together either. He had other plans for them and that is what Alexandra still hasn't figured out.
