The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

That fear despite being hidden didn't go unnoticed by Alexandra. She could see it clearly in his eyes but that was the least of her worries.

"You are fearless and that's what I love about you Alexandra"

Alexandra arched up her brow at him, he had spoken as though they were buddies and that didn't sit well with her. Once again she exhaled slowly in an attempt to calm her temples. If only the guards weren't behind her then she wouldn't hesitate to beat him up. Although she was aware he would fight back and she will lose since she wasn't with her wolf.

But one thing was for sure, Alexandra wasn't some delicate girl who would give up easily, he may beat her up but his body will never be the same after fighting her.

"I admire you a lot Alexandra," He said in a sweet tone.

"Uh"

"And I want to keep you safe" Adam admitted

Adam walked closer to him, his nearness making her sick to the stomach and Alexandra backed away. If only he knows he made her suffocate then he wouldn't have been nearby.

"You want to keep me safe?" She asked as though she hasn't heard him the first time

"Yes, didn't I make myself clear?"

"Why?"

"Because you are the kind of woman I need"

Alexandra scoffed, rubbing her palms together, the wetness slightly easing up the anger piling up inside her.

"The kind of woman you need"

"Yes, I just realized it now Alexandra" Adam told her. "Come on and I will keep safe, no one will hurt you when you are with me"

Alexandra stared at him, he must be out of his mind to imply that she follows him anywhere. She doesn't trust him and even if she did, Adam was one of those men who should never be given second chances. The last thing she wanted was to lose guard and fall victim again, she would kiss any chance she has of ever seeing Nathaniel goodbye and Alexandra would not want that.

She may not admit it but somehow, she hoped things had turned out a different way, she wished he was close, fighting next to her and wanting nothing more than to keep her safe.

"What do you have to say, Alexandra?" He asked

He was rewarded with the sound of her spit kissing his face causing him to squeeze his face, disgusted by her action. Adam wipes his face with the back of his hand, and Alexandra grins. The grin of someone who just trampled upon her enemy by doing the one thing she has always wanted to do.

"Go to hell" She snapped, gritting her teeth

"What?" Adam scoffed, he had hoped she wouldn't fight him again and just comply beside he was asking nicely, but who was he kidding?

He was dealing with Alexandra Guerrero, the woman who holds a deep grudge against him and looked out for the day when she finally gets her revenge.

"I'm doing you a big favor, Alexandra"

"When did the devil become so nice?"

At that moment, Alexandra wanted to strangle him for saying that. He killed her and took advantage of her. What more could he have done so as not to win the title of an unscrupulous, wicked fellow?

"Tell that to your corpse"

"You are getting it all wrong" He attempts to hold her hand when she pushes him back, he staggers backward but doesn't fall.

"I don't want your help, I can keep myself safe"

Adam grinned, she was in the lion's den and there was no getting out. If ever she has to get out, she was going to need his help. He was the only one who can keep her safe and that made him feel like a king.

"Do you realize where you are?" Without glancing around, Alexandra could tell where she was standing. The hard ground was strong enough to break bones but thankfully only werewolves are kept there.

"Of course, I know where I am"

"Really?" He arched his brow at her, attempting to get her confused but Alexandra wasn't a fool as his plan fell flat and she gave him a firm response. "Yes, I know perfectly well where I am. This is Guerrero's prison or the pack prison. Whichever you want to call it"

"No one has survived by walking alone"

Alexandra smirked, she was aware that he was bluffing, whatever he wanted to do. It was stupid of him to try and creep her out. She wasn't going to get scared not plead to be saved at all.

"You're foolish" Alexandra admitted, her eyes filled with anger. She hated that he wanted to make himself the Alpha when he wasn't fit for the Alpha.

"What did you say just say?"

"You are a foolish man, how could someone like you assume the role of leadership? Whoever made you the Alpha must be birth of foolishness as well"

Adam squared up his chin and Alexandra glared back at him. Her icy gaze burned through his eyes making him aware that whatever he was planning, they weren't on the same page and he would only be wasting his time if he thinks he can convince her.

"This is your last chance Alexandra so you better think before you speak"

"There is nothing to think about" She fires sharply. Not waiting to hear what he had to say, clearly it wasn't something new and Alexandra wasn't a bit interested in whatever he wanted to say.

"You're brazen?"

"I was born brazen, you didn't realize that because of your stupidity" "Stupidity" The way Adam's lips turned down indicated that he hadn't liked her using the same word at him.
