"I had no choice, you kept me here"

"I know you are not but now that you mentioned him, do you know him?"

"Yes and no"

Nathaniel frowned, he was already tired of playing around and just wanted to end this. That way he could hurriedly go to Alexandra. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means I know Adam Hawthorn, but I only him since he's associated with Alexandra and -"

"Yes," The young man cut Nathaniel off as though he was now bored with playing games and wanted to end their conversation. "I know everyone who surrounds Alexandra"

"How is that possible? How come I never met you before?"

"There hasn't been a need for it"

"And you think there is a need for it now?"

"Yes" The Young man assured "I know that there's a greater need for it" "Why is that?"

"Because this time it involved saving Alexandra, her reputation, and helping her put an end to the nightmare that had fallen upon her" The young Man squeezed the lilies as though their scent was no longer captivating and tossed them to the ground, trampling upon it. "Anyone who isn't your friend and wants to harm you" He cuts Nathaniel off. This time, Nathaniel wasn't angry like the man thought he would be.

"You are talking about Adam and her family right?"

"Yes. I'm talking about those people who are hell-bent on destroying her and keeping the two of you apart from each other"

"What is their gain?"

"Let's see, isn't it obvious?"

Nathaniel had a feeling that Adam and Olivia could be after them, but he wasn't sure what they wanted to do with him.

"No, it isn't"

"Guerrero pack and to get rid of Alexandra's bloodline"

"I have been hearing a lot about that, what's wrong with her bloodline"

"Nothing"

Nathaniel didn't look so convinced. "If it is why then do they seek to get rid of it" "Bernard would gain what he wanted the most. He has always felt so inferior and jealous when it comes to her bloodline"

"I'm not convinced" Nathaniel states firmly wanting to know everything.

"Well you better be since I'm the only one who's ever going to let you in on what you sole want"

"And what's that?" Nathaniel feigns ignorance but deep down he knows that his actions would certainly be seen by him.

"You want to know everything about Alexandra so you can stop having doubts"

"I don't doubt her, Alexandra is my mate"

"And I don't doubt that either" He grinned much to Nathaniel's annoyance.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You said you have doubts"

"I don't"

"If you don't have doubts, what are you still doing here then? Why didn't you chase after her when she left your pack?"

Taken aback, Nathaniel was dying to know about the man right before his eyes. "How did you know that?"

"I know a lot more than you think which is why you should listen to me while I talk"

"How do you know about Alexandra and me? Who sent you?"

"If you are going to keep up with this. I would leave and you would not see me neither would you get the answers that you desire"

"Don't wish to know"

"Really? You are going to throw away this chance to know the truth"

"Truth doesn't matter when I'm with Alexandra"

"It doesn't matter now but what about tomorrow"

"What about when Adam and Olivia spread another rumours around, will you doubt her? Or stick by her side while fighting for a way to end them"

"Fine it matters to be, I wish to know a lot about Alexandra but it doesn't look like you intend to tell me anything" Nathaniel states, his adrenaline pumping up, exhales trying to let his anger surpass.

"I'm going to tell you the truth"

This time, Nathaniel wasn't convinced since he had been playing silly mind games with him and now he wanted to fill him in on the one thing he solely desired. He was going to fall into his trap that easily.

"I don't believe you"

"And why is that?"

"You have been playing games with me all day, now you change your mind"

"Kinda weird right?". The Young man adds as if he read Nathaniel's mind.

"Exactly which is what I want to know, what are you up to?"

"What do you think I'm up to?"

"I don't know, which is why I'm asking you"

"Didn't say I was up to something, you said it and not me so is best you finish what you started"

"Fine, what's the catch?".

"Catch? Are we going to catch a fish?" The Young man asked causing Nathaniel to square his chin stubbornly but the young man glared back at him. "Aren't we going to catch a fish yet Nathaniel?"

"What sort of joke is that?"

"Forgive me but I had thought you wanted to go down to Guerrero river"

"You're crazy, all I want is to know what you wish in return for the answers you are willing to give to me"

The young man feigns to be in thought for a moment. "I don't want anything"

"I don't believe you"

"That's your problem Nathaniel and not mine"

Nathaniel scoffed. "You are wasting my time, did they send you?"

"What?"

"Did Adam and Olivia send you to stall me?"

"And what if they did?"

Nathaniel tightens his jaw, he wanted to strangle the deceitful man but on second thought pushes it aside. Helping Alexandra was more important and he wasn't going to waste another second.

As he turned to leave, the man quickly states sharply. "Do you know Alexandra Guerrero is dead?"
