The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 146: Who are you

When Nathaniel arrived at the Guerrero pack, he sets off toward the woods, the cold breeze engulfs his body like the guilt of pleasure casting a strange feeling through his body. Nathaniel halts, looking around the woods with thick fog casting above the trees. He could feel as though someone was watching him, boring holes into his body.

Shuffling his footsteps against fallen leaves, the dry trees creaked and Nathaniel could see the leaving moving, brushing against each other, although not menacingly.

"Who's there?" He asked looking around, ready to strike whoever walks through the leaves. A long moment passes and no one walked out through the trees causing Nathaniel to lift a smooth stone and throw it towards the leaves hoping he would hear a loud groan, was struck by the sound of birds chirping as they flew away.

Letting out a loud sigh, Nathaniel takes a step forward, still sensing the same strange feeling, he quickly turns around coming in contact with a hairy good looking young man. Caught up in a daze for a while, Nathaniel stared at the current object of his confusion. He had hoped to see some muscular built up man whose biceps screams that he was a guard but instead he was staring at a young man who had endless features that attracts several women to flock around him.

"Hot" some misguided people would have called him But that didn't stop the young man to smirk as Nathaniel gazes at him.

"Didn't think you stare for long Alpha Nathaniel Starkov"

Taking a step backward, Nathaniel twirls the small stone between his fingers, the motion calming him down from reaching across the young man and strangling him.

At that moment, the fact that he was good-looking was irrelevant, what mattered was strangling him till he got to the root of his identity. He wanted to know who he was while staying alert in case he was Adams's accomplice.

"Relax Nathaniel"

"Who are you?" Nathaniel frowns, taking a step forward and saying to the young man. "You better tell me who you are before I break your bones and feed to the bird, you twerp!"

The young Man's jaw dropped at his boorishness, though he quickly recovered and closed his mouth. Never had the ruthless Alpha Nathaniel Starkov been this rude.

"Rude"

"Yes which is why you better start talking before I decapitate your head"

"Really?" He smirks triumphantly as though he was trying to pull Nathaniel into something that would make him more despicable than he already was.

"Yes"

"You are exactly what they say you are"

"Who are you?" Lowering down, Nathaniel picks up a stick, tossing the stone away to the ground. He was intending to beat up the young man, torturing him brutally before giving him a hideous death. That way he would never mess with the Alpha of the Crimson pack, whose on a quest in helping his mate.

"It doesn't matter who I am, what matter is what I can do for you"

Once again Nathaniel exhaled slowly in an attempt to rein in his temper. In the past years, had come across a lot of people, but no one had seemed rather daring aside from Alexandra Guerrero.

"What exactly can you do for me? You better start talking before I unleash hell upon your wretched life"

"Ruthless as always but that's what I love about you" The young man stared into space as though he could imagine the look in his eyes.

He could tell Nathaniel was boiling with anger but he had no intention of calming his anger since he knows fully he was going to need all of it for what was about to come.

The way Nathaniel's lips turned down indicated that he hadn't liked him noting that he was ruthless. Although he wasn't the first to have described him in such an manner, he hated it since it was coming from a stranger.

"You should know, today's not a good day," Nathaniel said in a sweet tone that flashed an edge of steel.

"And why is that?"noveldrama

"You are derailing me from reaching to someone so you better start talking when I'm still nice"

"Nice" He chuckled, not expecting he would hear such words from Nathaniel. "I wonder who you are trying to reach"

"That's none of your business"

"Is that what you think Nathaniel?"

Nathaniel blinked, bewildered. Seeing how affected he was, no one has called him Nathaniel to his face aside from Alexandra and that triggered a burning curiosity somewhere in his stomach and Nathaniel couldn't just let it go without getting to the bottom.

He was going to unravel who this stranger was even if it takes a long time, that way he would find out if he was linked to his enemy Adam Hawthorn. Only then would he let him go, and if he was related to Adam in some way, he wasn't going to leave the woods alive.

"No one has dared to call me by my name"

"And why is that? Isn't Nathaniel your name? Is such a good name"

"Shut your mouth"

The young man smiled. "I'd love to but the only problem is you dying to find out who exactly I am"

"Yes I want to know"

"But how will I do that when you just told me to shut up" The young man had a silly grin on his face as if watching Nathaniel in a confused state was more interesting than revealing his identity.

"Wanna play games with me?" Nathaniel asked, frowning.

"I'd love to but given the time and circumstances around. Is rather inconvenient"

"What circumstances around?" Nathaniel asked in a classic Alpha manner

"Now whose playing games between us now Nathaniel?" He gives Nathaniel a quizzical look and that was when Nathaniel was convinced that he was talking about no other than the woman he was going to help.
