The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Chapter 135: Goodbye Nathaniel

"That's it!" She exclaims. Without hesitation she walks away, wondering if

Nathaniel already knows that she is gone. A smile creeps on her face as his face flashes through her mind.

Even though she was disappointed that he didn't trust her, Alexandra could stop thinking about him. He filled her mind even when she didn't want him to. Going to rescue her relations alone may not be the best thing to do since Alexandra was already aware that the Guerrero pack must have made Adam the Alpha which meant that he could command the guards to capture her and probably kill him unjustly.

She couldn't leave her relations to die for something they know nothing about. This wasn't their battle and she wasn't going to let them drag any more innocent people into their fight.

As memories of Adam and Olivia attacking her In the woods invade her mind, she halts turning around the lonely road, a part of her wanted her to run back into his arms and forget about her revenge. It was a truce, they killed her and she has gotten her revenge by having Veronica murdered.

But Alexandra couldn't do that, knowing how Adam and Olivia's minds worked, she was certain that they wouldn't want to end this, it would end if one of them dies. They already made that clear when he slandered her name across the region.

Running her hand through her face, she drops her gaze and looks forward, Adam could have just made himself the Alpha, faked her death, and led the pack but he choose to declare war on her even in her presence and she just couldn't turn a blind eye and act as though they would want to call a truce.

Deep down, Alexandra knew that even though Adam agrees to call a truce, he would demand that she gives up her position and she couldn't do that. Being the Alpha meant a lot to her, it was the greatest thing she had come to achieve despite everything they did to her. And as for Olivia, her jealousy would never let her call a truce, the only thing that would ease what she felt was Alexandra's corpse.

The metallic taste of her blood splashing on her tongue when she kills her would ease her hatred but it would never make up for what Alexandra did to her mother. "Those two would never want a truce and neither do I" she clenches her jaw. Staying next to Nathaniel may make her happy but getting her revenge would make her happier and ease the pain inflicted on her by them.

"Goodbye Nathaniel" Alexandra walks forward, not sure they would ever see each other again.

He didn't trust her so she wasn't sure she was going to see him again even after rescuing her relations. She wanted to be alive so they would meet in the future but she had no intention of going to him or coming to his pack. If he wanted her then he was going to earn her by trusting in her and what they have instead of choosing to believe Adam Hawthorn, who was nothing but a disgusting liar.

After having dinner all alone, Nathaniel couldn't fathom what was happening to him, he had wanted to be with her at the dinner table to talk over what Adam had said but Alexandra made it impossible.

Leaning back on his seat, he rakes his hand through his messy hair. Something was clear, Whatever he had a misunderstanding with Alexandra, it made his soul restless and he couldn't keep up.

"What are you doing to me?" He gulps down a glass of water

"I didn't want to trust him too but you gave me no choice, you hid the truth from me and wouldn't have told me if I didn't bring you here" He breathes out, frustrated, hating what she did to him.noveldrama

No one has made him feel this way, women were never his priority but when it comes to Alexandra, it was different and he ended up getting confused.

He was sure it wasn't like this for other of his friends, he has heard when they talked about their mate and Nathaniel has seen when they had a misunderstanding as well. Most times they would go days without talking to their mate and other times, their mate comes to plead with them since they were meant to dominate them but in his case, he was always going to her and in other times, she would never apologize until he does.

"What are you doing to me, Alexandra Guerrero? If I didn't know better would think you had me under a spell"

He stared at the empty seat next to him, silence engulfed him. This house hasn't felt the same ever since she arrived and he hasn't felt the same as well. He wanted to be close to her, laugh with her while catching up on all the times they couldn't be together in her pack but his anger got the best of him and he couldn't just pretend like his heart wasn't in pain.

After he had heard the rumors, Nathaniel battled with himself trying to reject the hideous rumors but couldn't and he confronted her with hopes of getting to the bottom of her relationship with Adam.

Even though he didn't for once doubt her words, Nathaniel felt as though she withheld a lot more from him than she told him and he wanted to know all. Curiosity has driven him to the edge and he had acted in such a manner without thinking how she would feel for what he cared about at that moment was just himself.
