The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family

Chapter 4120

Quinn smiled. "I freed up my schedule today. I'll accompany you for lunch and take a stroll with you after that. I've already booked the restaurant, too." She then added delicately, "You should pack up now, Brother Charlie. I'll get the helicopter to arrive at the tarmac on the roof of your hotel in ten minutes." Charlie could only agree. "Okay, I'll change first."

Ten minutes later, a medium-sized helicopter from a general aviation company landed on the tarmac on the roof of the hotel, just as Quinn had said.

After Charlie boarded, the plane quickly took off and flew towards New York.

The distance from Providence to New York was only two hundred and thirty kilometers, so the helicopter only took an hour to fly to New York.

The helicopter soon landed on a small navigational site near Oskiatown in New York. A woman with black sunglasses approached Charlie, who had just gotten off the plane. "Mr. Wade, Quinn is waiting for you at the restaurant. Please follow me." Charlie realized that this woman was Quinn's agent, Dorothy. He nodded and thanked her. "Thank you for the trouble, Dorothy."

Dorothy replied respectfully, "You don't have to be so polite with me, Mr. Wade."

Having said that, she led Charlie to a Cadillac parked next to the helicopter.

She took the initiative to pull the back door open for Charlie. "Please get in, Mr. Wade."

"Right." Charlie went inside. Dorothy closed the door after he was seated, and then got into the passenger seat.

The driver's seat was occupied by a muscular and blank-faced Caucasian male. He had black tactical sunglasses and an intercom headset on. At first glance, he resembled a professional bodyguard at first glance. Dorothy said to him, "We're ready to go."

The driver nodded in understanding. He then drove to Oskiatown, which was a kilometer away.

New York's Oskiatown was very lively at this time of the day, with stores on both sides of the road doing brisk business.

Many pedestrians were coming and going, browsing the shops and strolling the place leisurely.

The Cadillac soon stopped in front of an inconspicuous Oskian-style roast goose restaurant. Dorothy then said to Charlie, "M r. Wade,

Quinn is waiting for you inside net

Unfortunately, her position doesn't allow her to pick you in person."

Charlie nodded and pushed the car door open to exit. He looked at the roast goose restaurant, and quickly spotted a sign stating that business was suspended hanging at the entrance. Immediately, his curiosity was roused.

Why would Quinn, a native of Eastcliff, ask him out for lunch at an Oskian-style roast goose restaurant?Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

He pushed the door of the

restaurant open and entered the premises. Inside, he saw that the area of the first floor only spanned to around twenty square meters. There were only four booths in the restaurant, and half of the area consisted of the back kitchen that had a single glass window. There, roast geese, pigeons, and other

ingredients hung.

A lone young man in a white uniform was the only existence on the entire first floor. He was busy playing with his phone. When he saw Charlie coming in, he subconsciously said, "Sorry, we're not doing business today." Just after those words, Dorothy entered and spoke up, "He's the guest that Miss Golding invited."

At that, the young man hurriedly stood up and said respectfully, "So you're Miss Golding's honored guest! Please go to the second floor. Miss Golding has been waiting for a long time."

Charlie thanked him and then went up the stairs to the second floor. The doubts in his heart only deepened.

When he arrived at the second floor, Quinn was at a square table in the middle, sitting facing the stairway.

The moment she saw Charlie, she waved excitedly and called, "Brother Charlie!"

Looking closely, there was a middle-aged man with gray hair sitting opposite Quinn, with his back facing Charlie.

When the man saw Quinn greeting someone behind him, he hurriedly stood up and turned around.

As his eyes fell on Charlie, he looked

thunderstruck. It took only a few

seconds for the shock to recede. He immediately knelt down on one knee, clasped his hands above his head, and exclaimed in a tone of ecstasy and excitement, "Young Master

Wade!"
