Chapter 1287
---- 184, THE SACRIFICED SLAVE ZAREK I had rarely been this nervous in my entire life. My mate's words kept echoing in my mind. I felt like I had failed Celine for not having found our daughter yet. And that's not even counting what I hadn't told her-about the memories I pulled out of that vampire. There were fragments of our daughter being enslaved by a man -a wolf, to be precise. I didn't know how clean those memories were, and my fears grew with each passing second.noveldrama
"Aidan, we've cleared the last traces of scattered magic!" I heard Valeria say to Nyx's mate. On this continent, he's the most capable person to open these physical portals. They weren't the same as the ones purely conjured by magic. I watched him step in front of the stone blocks and raise his ---- hands. Immediately, the temperature plummeted, everything froze- even our breaths. He's strong. And ever since being marked by a Selenia, I know for a fact he's become even more powerful.
The magical circle around my descendants glowed intensely. The four women focused completely on their task. Despite my anxiety, I couldn't help but admire them This-this was what I had fought so hard for. And even if the past wasn't what I imagined, it made me proud to see four generations of Selenias standing united. A roar yanked me back toward the blocked portal. The barrier had frozen solid, icy magic seeping through every crack.
Aidan's tribal tattoos glowed blue, and his white hair began to shift into a thick lycan pelt. I had no idea what he was planning... until I did. "Drakkar, now!" He roared to the other savage-Lyra's mate. ---- I saw those two beasts raise their fists and-BAM! The whole cave shook, sharp stalactites trembled, threatening to crash down on us. And still, they didn't stop. The rocks had frozen so much they crumbled like shards of colored glass swirling in the air.
It would've been beautiful, if it weren't so brutal-but my eyes were locked on the widening cracks. The thick rock layer looked endless, but they kept pushing forward without pause. "Take a break!" Aldric roared, charging forward with King Alpha Cedrick to relieve them. The ceiling threatened to collapse. I was about to summon some protection when a dark mist floated above our heads, like a spectral umbrella "Save your energy, uncle." Laziel told me. I exhaled and nodded.
Everyone helped in their own way. The small cave felt crowded, and more allies were still waiting outside.
