Chapter 2025
There was no telling how long Frank had been walking before he finally looked up and around him. He was in the middle of a busy street, and there was a crowd around him, staring at him fearfully. Eventually, a pretty face emerged from the crowd, telling him something he could not quite hear.
Frank could not hear what she was saying and could only whimper, despite his best efforts in responding.
He had torn off his own vocal chords and could not speak now.
The skies were already dark, and everything around him looked like they were dyed in blood-be it the pedestrians, the cars on the road, or... the ambulance?
As Frank recognized that it was an ambulance, he limped toward it, using all his strength to shout at it.This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
"Stop..."
Frank begged inside out, "Please, stop..."
The ambulance seemed to hear Frank's call and stopped by the curb.
Delighted, Frank limped toward the back of the ambulance and passed a bloodied Kat with both arms to a nurse.
"Hngh..." He tried to tell the medical staff that Kat was losing blood and that they must transfuse her with blood packs of compatible blood type, but no one understood him.
Nurse Faith, the nurse from earlier, was even trying to pull him into the ambulance, only for him to wave her off.
Kat's life was more important at the moment, and he was not going to die-not any time soon, anyway...
Looking around urgently, he suddenly had an idea and wrote on the ambulance door with his own blood: [I'm fine. Save her now.]
Nurse Faith was left stunned by Frank's writing and quickly tried to reason with him.
"Urgh!"

With that, the ambulance sped off toward the hospital again, and Frank watched in relief as the medical staff performed first aid on Kat.
However, he soon saw the other two blood-soaked faces on the stretchers, which were both familiar to him.
"Tidus? Lizzie?"
Frank did a double take.
His mind seemed to fizzle out as a humming rang in his ears endlessly, and he almost collapsed while the
world spun around him. the
"Hmm?"
Nurse Faith noticed that he was behaving strangely and grabbed his wrist with a look of concern.
Frank waved her off, telling her that he was fine.
His eyes remained fixed on Tidus and Lizzie, however, even reaching out to feel their pulses when the nurse was not watching.
The iciness to the touch, however, told Frank that they had long since been dead.
"Hngh..."
Frank hung his head, clenching his knuckles as blood trickled off his palm.
He seemed to sniffle as the medical staff looked on in confusion, as if he was crying.
