Chapter 251
Hearing Freya's words, Ronan furrowed his brows and asked, "What? You can't handle these tasks?"
Silence. The old Freya would have balked at the challenge. But who would have thought she'd get a three-year head start in her last life?
Back then, she had immersed herself in finance to share common ground with Kieran and even picked up a few foreign languages to stand by his side as his equal. She wasn't fluent but could hold her own in conversations with internationals. "Let's just wing it for now. Thanks for the help, Mr. Beckett."
"Don't mention it. After all, you did hand me a five percent share of the pie. We're just scratching each other's backs here." Ronan always knew where he stood.
Freya added, "I'll rest easier once I have it. I sneaked out, and Kieran had no clue. I need to head back before Nancy catches wind of this. She'll spill the beans to Kieran if she notices I'm gone before two."Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Aren't you two done? Why's he still on your case?"
"Who knows what's going through his mind? He keeps saying to take responsibility for me." Freya mused over how. All she did was for Kieran in her past life, but that didn't end well.
As Freya was about to turn and leave, the voice of a server pierced the air, "Sir, this is a private dining room. You can't just barge in."
"I'm looking for someone. Move." Kieran's voice was unmistakable.
Seeing Kieran there made Freya's face turn sour.
How did he find this place?
"Sir! Please, you can't go in! Sir!" The server tried to stop Kieran, but he was quick on his feet.
Soon after, Kieran pushed open the dining area's door, only to find Ronan sitting there, calm and collected.
"Mr. Sutton, don't you think you're being impolite?" Ronan chided.
"Where's Freya?" Kieran was sure he'd seen someone resembling Freya heading this way.
Ronan's brows knitted slightly. "Ms. Dawson
I thought you two were et

concerned for her." Co
"Mr. Sutton!" Not far off, Flavia also rushed over.

Upon spotting Ronan in the dining area, Flavia greeted him, "Oh, Mr. Beckett is here too."
Ronan raised an eyebrow. "And you are?"
Kieran had no interest in introducing irrelevant parties, but Flavia latched onto his arm, saying, "Mrs. Sutton sent me to meet Kieran for a blind date. Hollowed him here, thinking something had happened. Turns out, it was just a meeting with Mr. Beckett."
Flavia's casual use of "Kieran" brought a secret smile to Freya, hiding under the table.
It seemed their blind date went well. Yes! This time, she wouldn't be a pawn in Kieran and Eloise's game.
"Kieran, we haven't wrapped up our
chat. How 'bout we head back and carry on?" Flavia knew just what to say and when to say it. But Kieran wasn't buying it. He asked coldly, "For the last time, where's Freya?"
Hearing Kieran asking about Freya made Flavia wonder.
Freya? Wasn't Eloise supposed to be Kieran's favorite?
