My Amazing Wife
Rozzean Cyron Valleje POV
“Baby… it’s 1:45 am. What do you want?”
I looked at my wife, who was frowning while sitting on our bed. We moved our room downstairs because I was worried she might slip on the stairs. It’s dangerous for her to use the stairs since her belly has grown bigger. Ferline said it’s normal, and we can expect it to get even bigger in the coming weeks.
“I want spaghetti. Can you cook it for me, my love?”
I nodded and smiled at her. We left the room, and she held my hand. She sat on the side, watching me as I started cooking.
“You look handsome…”
I smiled at her. Thaliana eats a lot, but she’s not gaining weight. Maybe it’s because she’s always hungry and eats a lot due to carrying three babies. I understand her, so I’m always with her to fulfill her cravings. I’m working from home now. Thaliana said it’s okay for me to go to the office, but I refused.
Even if I go to the office, I won’t be at ease thinking about her at home.
Now, I am working online. When there are important discussions with investors, my assistant arranges the Zoom meetings. RCV has released a new product, and the results are good – sales are increasing, and many new investors are coming into my company.
I glanced at Thaliana playing with the can opener.
She’s my lucky charm, and of course, our babies.
“Do you want more cheese?” I asked her.
She looked up at me.
“Yes, please, and more hotdogs.”Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
I nodded and smiled at her. I boiled the water for the noodles. After putting all the ingredients for the sauce, I organized my utensils. While looking at the food, I felt Thaliana on my back.
“Thank you…”
She hugged me from behind.
“I know that you don’t have enough sleep because I always wake you up whenever I am hungry. Thank you so much, husband…”
She’s the sweetest. Actually, she doesn’t make it hard for me to find her food to eat. Her condition due to pregnancy is challenging, and I understand that. Her cravings are usually available at home, and I often don’t need to look for them outside. I don’t find it difficult to buy and find what she wants to eat because she always prefers me to cook for her.
“Anything for my wife and for our babies.”
I kissed her on the lips and lowered my kiss to her belly. Thaliana’s belly has been three months, and it’s quite big. Ferline even mentioned that it might grow more in the coming weeks.
“This will be over soon, okay?”
She nodded and gave me a smack kiss before returning to her chair.
I considered this as our memorable moments. Her pregnancy period.
Several months passed, and I saw how Thaliana struggled to move because her belly had grown larger. It was getting difficult for her to take a bath, so I took care of bathing her. She kept apologizing most of the time because I was taking care of her, but it was my duty as her husband.
To make sure that she’s alright. To make sure that she’s safe and our babies. I wanted to take care of her and see the changes in her as her belly grew. I wanted to be by her side always.
It’s just hard for me whenever I see the pain on her face when she feels our babies moving. If only I could take the pain away, I would. That’s what I can’t handle-seeing and hearing her in pain.
We always visit Ferline to ask about my wife’s condition. I’m thankful because our babies are normal and healthy. We held a gender reveal for our babies, and Thaliana was overjoyed to learn that we’re having two boys and one girl.
“One month… just one more month,” Thaliana said to me. We were sitting on the sofa in our living room while I was combing her hair.
I had just finished giving her a bath. I also prepared her mango shake and sliced some apples for her to eat.
“Yes, and I can’t wait. I am also nervous, baby…”
She scowled at me, “Don’t you faint, okay? Rozzean…”
I smiled at her and shook my head. Probably not?
“But thank you for taking care of me… thank you, husband…” she said and kissed me.
Taking care of her-my wife-is also my responsibility. Even if I struggle with her pregnancy, even if I lack sleep or can’t sleep while taking care of her, it’s okay. I know that between the two of us, the difficulties I face in taking care of her during her pregnancy are nothing compared to what she’s experiencing.
“O-Ouch…”
I was alarmed when I heard her groan. I immediately stood up and put my laptop down on the coffee table to check on Thaliana. I knelt in front of her. She was leaning on the sofa with her legs raised on the other end.
“Baby? Why? Did they kick again?” I asked and placed my hand on her belly. When I felt the movement, I bit my lip. They’re moving fast.
“P-Painful…”
When I saw the tears in my wife’s eyes, it felt like my heart was squeezed. I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.
“Shhh… baby, breathe in and out, please?” Ferline told me that carrying triplets would be very painful, especially when they start moving in the womb. I needed to calm her down and find a way to divert Thaliana’s attention so she could endure the pain.
“Are they still moving?” I asked. She nodded, and tears ran down. I took a deep breath and kissed her forehead again.
Then I bent down and talked to our babies.
“Mommy is hurting, guys, stop playing inside for a while, okay? You don’t want mommy to cry, right? She’s hurting now… she’s crying.”
Thaliana held my hand tightly, a sign that she was in a lot of pain.
My hand was still on her belly, feeling the movement of our babies. After a few seconds, they stopped.
“They stopped? What are you feeling?” I asked.
“I am okay now… they stopped. It just really hurts when they all move at the same time,” she said and looked at my laptop, “I am sorry, baby, are you working?”
I smiled and shook my head. I squeezed her hand and adjusted the pillow on her back to prevent her from getting sore. Before going back to work, I kissed her lips.
“I’m okay. I’m just reading reports from this month. If you need me, just call me, okay?”
There’s no excuse when it comes to my wife. Even if it’s work, I will stop to take care of her. Her situation is difficult, and this is the time when she needs me the most.
