Chapter 1096:noveldrama
“Go inside first. I’ll handle this,” Bryan said, gesturing for Eileen to escort Leyla and Gabriela into the mansion.
Overcome with fear, Gabriela buried her face in Leyla’s arms and remained frozen in place.
“Alright,” Eileen agreed, turning to head inside with Leyla and Gabriela. Just as she took a few steps, a piercing scream rang out from behind her.
“Eileen, you murderer, explain yourself! You can’t leave, or I’ll end my life right here!” It was Jaliyah’s mother, Tiffany. As Eileen started to leave, she suddenly…
Tiffany stopped crying. She reached into her pocket, pulled out a knife, and pressed it against her chin in a desperate move.
Hearing Tiffany’s threat, Eileen paused and turned around to face her.
“If you’re set on dying, then go ahead and do it. I can even help arrange a cremation for you. And if anyone wants to join your departure from the Diaz family with no one left, I’ll be kind enough to bury you all in an open space—free of charge,” Bryan said, raising an eyebrow. He turned away, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it.
The crowd was startled by his words. In their shock, they forgot their tears and the earlier determination to break into the mansion.
As Eileen disappeared into the villa, Tiffany’s shock turned into indignation. “You’ve crossed the line. Just because you have power doesn’t mean you can do as you please. I—”
“You’d be wise to seek my permission before you even think about harming the woman I care about,” Bryan interjected, his white shirt slightly rumpled. He stood coldly, piercing the group with his gaze. “I’m giving you only one chance today. If you come back and cause trouble again, you will face the consequences. Now, leave.”

His words felt like an invisible grip tightening around their throats. The crowd, though reddened, was stunned into silence, struggling to respond.
“Write down the names of those who refuse to leave,” Bryan instructed Raymond with a nod.
Raymond dashed to the car to retrieve a pen and paper. Uncapping the pen, he approached each person, asking, “Are you leaving? If not, give me your name.”
The people at the edge of the group, distant relatives of the family, hesitated briefly before turning away and leaving. Gradually, the crowd dispersed, leaving only Tiffany and her two nieces.
“Aunt Tiffany…” The younger woman nearby, visibly frightened, gently patted Tiffany’s arm.
Tiffany straightened up defiantly and seated herself on the ground. “I don’t care. I’m not leaving!”
Seeing her resolve, the two young women had no choice but to squat beside her in support.
Raymond turned to the reporters who had been capturing the scene with their cameras and asked, “Which newspaper are you with? Come and register your details.”
The reporters exchanged glances, and after a moment’s consideration, they quickly stowed away their cameras. “We’re just here to see the commotion, not to do anything,” one of them said.
“We’ll leave now.”
