Richest Mogul

Richest Mogul 1256

Chapter 1256

In her panic, Rosa quickly deleted all the chat logs and video call records. Then she placed the phone back where she had found it.

Moments later, she took a deep breath and calmed herself.

She didn’t really need to feel guilty. Her relationship with Ned was something no one else could compare to. Even if Ned found out she had gone through his phone, he wouldn’t mind. Skylar was nothing more than a passing woman in Ned’s life.

Maybe he had some fleeting thoughts about wanting to sleep with her, but that was just impulsive. There were no real feelings involved.

Now that Skylar had blocked Ned as a contact, it was probably for the best. Maybe it was her boyfriend who had blocked it after all.

With that thought, Rosa let out a cold laugh.

An hour later, Ned returned to the hotel.

As soon as he entered the room, he reached for his phone. He had forgotten to bring it with him earlier when he left in a rush, and he had realized it while on the way.

He unlocked his phone and immediately checked to see if Skylar had replied to his last message. Unfortunately, she hadn’t.

He frowned slightly before tossing the phone aside.

Ned tugged at his tie and headed into the bathroom.

Half an hour later, when he came out, there was a notification for a new message on WhatsApp. He picked up the phone to check.

It was from Rosa. She asked, “Are you back?”

Ned’s eyes flickered. “Yeah, not asleep yet?” novelbin

Rosa responded, “It’s still thundering outside. You know I’m always scared of thunderstorms, so I can’t sleep. Can you come and stay with me?”

Ned remained expressionless as he replied, “I still have some work to handle. Why don’t you watch some TV shows? The thunderstorm will pass soon.”

Rosa responded with a simple “Okay” and added a disappointed emoji.

Just as Ned was about to exit WhatsApp, he noticed Skylar’s profile picture. He hesitated for a

few seconds before sending a message. “Do you need my help with anything?”

The message didn’t go through. He realized he was no longer one of her contacts.

Ned’s face darkened instantly. He hadn’t expected Skylar to block him. Their recent exchanges seemed fine, but he wondered if she had blocked him to avoid further interaction.

After a brief pause, he set the phone down. If this were what she wanted, he wouldn’t disturb her again.

Rosa lay in bed, absently scrolling through her phone. She couldn’t sleep, not because of the occasional thunder outside, but because she was worried Ned might discover something. Rosa waited until late into the night, but Ned never came looking for her. She finally let out a sigh of relief.

It seemed Ned didn’t care that much about Skylar after all.

She had overestimated Skylar and underestimated her own importance to Ned.

After knowing him for so long, she understood him better than anyone. Ned was always cold and aloof. To him, no one could ever truly reach his heart. Not even her…
