Rekindling Her Affection (Sabrina and Nelson)

Chapter 87

Sabrina was stunned.

She asked Eva, "Did he find out about it?"

"Yes. After knowing you were in trouble, Mr. Ingram has been investigating the matter, although…" Eva paused, unsure how to continue.

Sabrina felt a stinging emotion as she finished Eva's sentence. "Nelson wanted to keep this matter hidden, but he was a step too late, right?"

"Yes," Eva replied.

Sabrina glanced out the car window.

Nelson was still standing outside, looking as tall and imposing as ever.

But Eva's confirmation made her involuntarily compare her husband with Gerald.

Even if she didn't agree with Gerald's ways, she was sincerely touched by his act of protection.

Meanwhile, Nelson remained as indifferent as usual. He simply dismissed her grievances as if they didn't matter.

How could she not be disappointed?

After Sabrina hung up the phone, she shifted her gaze back to the road and drove off.

Nelson stood in the courtyard and watched her drive away.

Shannon bought a coat for him and draped it over his shoulder.

He looked at his mother and said, "Mom, you're quite amazing."

Jackson had talked to Nelson about his career and future plans since getting back home last night.

Regardless of whether Nelson planned to take over the Tucker Group or not, Jackson warned that too much bad press would eventually get to him.

Noah was the next to try and convince him. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

Sabrina's visit today was also part of the plan, meant to show Nelson that her life would've been completely different if not for Samson's accidental death.

Noah wanted to make him feel guilty, hoping to push Nelson into divorcing Sabrina.

Shannon glanced at her son and smiled.

She replied, "I'm alright."

"Was the lab report Noah showed me real?" Nelson asked.

Shannon sighed, "Nelson, why are you asking such a redundant question? After spending time with Sabrina, do you really think she would do such a thing?"

Nelson remained silent, his eyes serious.

"If you truly want to love and spend the rest of your life with her, would you still be asking such questions?" She felt deeply disappointed in him.

It wasn't just that Nelson had let Sabrina down. It seemed that he had lost his way as a person.

Shannon thought for a moment and said, "You can't have both things at the same time. Whether you like Pamela or not, you're an adult that should be able to manage your feelings. If you like

Sabrina, show her your sincerity and get her back. However, if you've made another choice, stop bothering her."

Nelson glanced at her and was hesitant to speak.

She also looked at him seriously. "Nelson, ask yourself this: Has Sabrina done anything wrong besides insisting on marrying you three years ago?"

"No," Nelson replied.

"Exactly. You had more than one option that night," Shannon said.

When Nelson heard this, he swallowed hard and felt a rush of naked humiliation.

The night he was drugged, there was a gap between drinking the milk and the onset of the drug's effect, as it wasn't the type of drug that made a person instantly lose consciousness.

When he sensed something wasn't right with his body, he could've stopped things from escalating.

If Nelson's will had been strong enough, he could've avoided everything that happened that night.

He not only did nothing to stop it, but he also let Sabrina suffer for it.

It would be horrible of him to treat her badly now that he had run out of justifications for it.
