Chapter 33 Chapter 33. Nelly’s POV. tip of my
Aloud bang jolted me and Aisha awake. My eyes flew open, a curse on the tongue, but it died in my throat when | saw who had come through the door.
It was Alpha Kex, his expression unreadable as he stood in the doorway, his hands crossed behind his back. My heart pounded in my chest, my mind racing.Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
“It's time,” he said, his voice grave and cold.
| turned to look out the window, the darkness still enveloping the world outside. | glanced at the clock on the wall, its hands telling me it was only 4:09 AM.
“Isn't it early?” | asked, my voice shaking.
Alpha Kex’s eyes narrowed, his brow furrowing in anger. “You do not question me,” he said, his voice sharp and full of warning. | swallowed the lump in my throat, nodding my head in agreement.
| was about to stand when Aisha’s arms wrapped around me, pulling me into a tight. hug. | allowed myself to sob, letting the tears flow freely as | buried my face in her chest.
“| don’t think | can survive here without you,” Aisha whispered, her voice breaking.
I shushed her, trying to reassure her. “You will be fine,” | said, even though | wasn’t sure if | believed my own words. | was terrified for both of us, but | had to stay strong for
her. “Enough of this,” Alpha Kex said, his voice impatient. “I don’t have all day.” We
reluctantly released each other, and | stood up, my legs shaky. | made my way to the bathroom, my eyes swollen from crying. | stared at myself in the mirror, my reflection a disheveled mess.
| splashed water on my face, trying to wash away the evidence of my despair. | brushed my teeth, rinsed my mouth, and stepped out of the bathroom, my heart still pounding
in my
chest.
Alpha Kex looked me up and down, his expression unreadable. He said nothing, simply turned and walked out of the room. Aisha helped me gath
my belongings, her hands trembling as she packed my bag.

Without a word, we followed him, the silence heavy and oppressive.
| could feel my heart pounding in my chest, my palms sweating as | thought of all the terrible things that could happen. The fear of the unknown was almost too much to
bear.
We got to the car, and | turned to Aisha, my arms wrapping around her in a tight embrace. | held her close, not wanting to let go, knowing | might never see her again. | forced myself to pull away, a lump forming in my throat.
| waved to her as the car started to drive away, my eyes locked on her form until she was out of sight. The ache in my chest was almost unbearable, and | sank into my seat, wishing | could turn back time.
Alpha Kex cleared his throat, breaking the silence. “You women,” he muttered, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. | turned to look at him, my heart pounding.
“| don’t understand,” | said, my voice shaking. He sighed, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. “You are so emotional, you drive me crazy,” he said, his tone dismissive. | didn’t say anything, just stared at him, my mind racing. | sank back in my chair, closing my eyes, trying to relax.
The events of the last few days had taken their toll, and | felt exhaustion wash over me. | drifted off to sleep, my mind drifting, thoughts of Aisha and the others playing like a movie behind my closed eyes.
| opened my eyes, the morning sun streaming through the window. “You are awake,” Alpha Kex said, his voice gruff. | turned to face him, my eyes adjusting to the light. “Where are we?” | managed to ask, my voice croaky from sleep. “Outside our pack,” he said, his tone indifferent.
I studied him, looking for any sign of emotion, but his face was blank. | opened my mouth to ask him another question, but he shifted his gaze back to the road, his jaw set. tight. | sat back, frustrated and confused.
“| saw everything that happened that day,” Alpha Kex said, his voice soft and measured.
My heart sank, my mouth dry. He turned to look at me, his eyes searching mine. The car came to a sudden stop, jolting me forward in my seat.
| braced myself against the seat, my breath catching in my throat. We were in the middle of a forest, the trees towering above us, blocking out the sun. The air was thick

“We have arrived at our destination,” Alpha Kex said, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
| didn’t know what to say, my mind still trying to catch up. “Uh,” | muttered, feeling foolish.
He reached out and caressed my cheek, his touch gentle and surprising. | looked up at him, my heart in my throat. “Come out,” he said, pulling his hand away, stepping out of the car.
| hesitated, not sure if | should follow him. He tapped on the window, a hint of impatience in his eyes. | steeled myself and stepped out of the car.
| looked around, realizing we were in the middle of nowhere, the only building in sight, a small cottage. | looked at Alpha Kex, confused and a little scared.
“What did you hear that day?” | asked, struggling to keep up with him as he walked. towards the cottage. He didn’t answer, his expression unreadable.
“Please, Alpha Kex,” | pleaded, the fear rising in my chest. “I need to know if I'm in danger. | need to know if it’s safe to go inside the cottage with you.”
He looked at me, his face unreadable. | waited, my heart pounding in my chest. Finally, he spoke. “I won’t hurt you,” he said, his voice low and reassuring.
| wasn’t sure if | believed him, but | had no choice but to trust him.
He stood at the door, his hand on the knob, watching me carefully. | stood a few feet away, unsure of what to do. He turned around, his eyes meeting mine. “Nelly, | won’t hurt you,” he said, his voice low and steady. | hesitated, stil
unsure of whether to trust him.
| looked around, the woods surrounding the cottage in every direction. | thought of running, of escaping into the trees. But would | be able to outrun him? Would | be able. to escape his grasp? | concluded that | would run as fast as | can if he tries anything funny.
“Nelly,” he called, his voice soft and pleading.
| turned to face him, my body trembling with fear. My legs shook as | moved towards the cottage, my eyes darting around, looking for any escape. He reached out and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close to him.
He opened the door of the cottage, | gasped, my eyes wide with shock and my mouth opened wide.
