PERFET 288
"Miss, this watch isn't cheap, and fixing it will be pricey too," the owner said. "Do you want to repair just the strap and glass, or the case as well?" The case had only minor scratches, barely visible unless inspected closely. Yasmine's index finger still throbbed a bit. "Fix everything, please. How long will it take?" she inquired.
The boss thought for a moment and said, "This Lange watch is made by Steinreich. Some parts can only be sourced from there. You might not find it here in Soucrity. Repairing it could take weeks or even months." Yasmine nodded, "Money's no issue." She pulled a check from her handbag, handed it to the boss, and walked out.
She couldn't quite say why she came to fix the watch, but today something clicked. Those eyes looked just like Chuck's, who is Lucy's boyfriend.
The moment Yasmine got out of the car, Finola rushed toward her looking worried. "Miss, you need to get to the Sanchez Group to find the young master right away."
Seeing the concern in Finola's eyes and the sweat on her forehead, Yasmine knew something was up. "Finola, what's going on?" Yasmine asked, brows furrowed.
Finola pleaded, "Miss, please don't ask now and don't go in. Wait till the young master returns-"
"What's going on here?" Yasmine questioned, her posture tense, eyes narrowing.
Finola shot a worried glance at the front gate. "The madam and the young lady from the Bowers family brought Christine over. They're here to teach you a lesson. The young master isn't home; he's at the office, and the madam couldn't hold them back. Miss, you shouldn't go in now, they're causing quite a commotion."
"What are they making a fuss about now?" Yasmine asked, her gaze growing colder.
"It's all about Caleb," Finola said, anger coloring her cheeks. "Mrs. Mayfield is acting like it's the end of the world. Miss, this is the Mayfield family's own doing, and the master won't spare him once he's back."
Yasmine gave Finola's hand a reassuring pat. "Even if they don't make a scene this time, they'll be back to cause trouble again. Don't worry, I've got it under control." She let go of Finola's hand and headed inside the house, stepping past her.
Finola cast a worried glance at Yasmine, suddenly getting the feeling that something was different about her.
In the hall, Claire was both crying and shouting, "What on earth did we do to upset Yasmine, leading to my nephew's arrest by the police? How can I explain this to my brother? We're all family, why is she being so harsh?"
Donna looked equally troubled. "Yes, Aunt Ivette, we're all family. Uncle is really concerned about Morgan right now."
Christine stared sternly at Ivette. "Ivette, how did you raise that girl to do such things? We're all family, why let it get this bad?"
"Why did everyone come over? To watch how that thug humiliated me?" Yasmine sneered sarcastically.
Ivette quickly pulled Yasmine aside, whispering, "Yasmine, please, just hold your tongue a bit."
Claire shot a sharp glare at Yasmine. "What are you talking about, calling someone a rogue? That's so harsh! He's from your Aunt Ivette's family-by seniority, you should call him cousin." She wiped her tears and turned to Christine, "Ma'am, Donna told me about everything. Caleb passed out; how could he have possibly harassed her? Yasmine's as thin as a rake-if Caleb really intended to, how could he end up fainting himself? Sounds more like she's playing the victim while being the culprit herself."
Donna quickly dabbed at her eyes. "Cousin was still at the hospital when they took him away."

Christine gave Yasmine-a stern look. "You really don't know right from wrong, running to the police with every little issue. It seems the Sanchez residence has been spoiling you too much. Today, we're going to teach you a proper lesson." "Caleb dared to harass me in broad daylight, and I just did what was necessary. How was I wrong?" Yasmine demanded.
Christine crashed the cup onto the ground. "You really have a way with words."
Claire was momentarily stunned. "Maybe Yasmine never liked Caleb, accidentally knocked him out, and now she's turning it around, accusing Caleb of trying to insult her."
"That must be it," Donna remarked.
Yasmine let out a derisive snort, "Since he's already in custody, if you think he's innocent, go find some proof."
"Cut the nonsense. You should head to the precinct and get him released. You wouldn't want our families to be the laughingstock, right? Such a rude person." Claire seethed, clenching her teeth, wishing she could strangle the woman in front of her. "You're all wrong," Yasmine meticulously articulated.
Christine's face was ashen. "How dare you speak to an elder like that? It's rude."
"So, Donna taking my clothes like a beggar is respectful? Caleb trying to harass me is respectful?" Yasmine shot a glance at Christine. "Your son piling up debts, that's respectful too?"
"What are you talking about? Who are you saying is disrespectful? When did I ever wear your clothes?" Donna's fingers trembled with anger like she wanted to tear Yasmine apart.
Christine was so furious from Yasmine's words that she could barely breathe. "You... you're unbelievable!"
Claire quickly poured Christine a cup of coffee. "Sister, look at the nonsense that girl is spouting! Madame's all riled up. Can't you make her stop?"
"If I
you,
I would
have come here just to look foolish," Yasmine remarked.
"What did you say?" Christine glared, eyes blazing with anger.
"I'm with the Sanchez family. What do my thoughts have to do with the Mayfield family? I was polite because of Aunt Ivette, but now I think you've overstepped." Yasmine's eyes were sharp and cold.
Yasmine's stare was like daggers aimed at Donna. "You're not welcome here. Bringing Caleb shows you had ulterior motives." Donna was taken aback for, a moment but then quickly replied, "Yasmine, stop making up
lies!"
Donna suddenly remembered, "Oh, that dress. Mom, before we left, Yasmine had me wear her dress. It unraveled at the theatre, surely her way to get me out of the way. Maybe you tried to cozy up to Morgan, and when he refused, you hit him out of anger." Yasmine chuckled coldly. "That's funny! If I were secretly meeting Caleb, why at The Starlight Stage? I would've just turnednovelbin
down and met him directly. And about that dress, you wanted to wear it. Did Lforce you?" you
Yasmine stepped closer to Donna. "So, you planned for me to go to the theatre, right? Even if the dress hadn't ripped, you'd have found a way to leave, and Caleb would come in. You wanted him to bother me, so I'd have no choice but to be with him." But as for Aunt Ivette, how much did she know about this? That was uncertain.
"No. I didn't. You're making that up." Donna's face was twisted with anger.
Claire was surprised things turned out this way. She quickly pulled Donna back, her voice sharp, "Yasniine, you're crossing the line. What nonsense are you talking about? This is between you and Caleb; why involve Donna?"
