Purchased A Mr. Right

Chapter 1975

Chapter 1975

...

Desmond was left alone at home to take care of the animals.

When Mia came back, she saw him obediently feeding the animals.

Desmond took off his suit and changed into casual clothes in dark purple at home. Coupled with his striking and bushy eyebrows, he was very eye-catching.

Sabine and Mia had the experience of raising animals, so they took good care of them.

For him, it was not hard to deal with cats and dogs, but not the seven geese.

They seemed to loathe each other.

Desmond braced himself to step into the fence with a disdainful look, his lips pressed tight.

But even so, he still patiently fed water and fodder to them.

Under the orange light in the courtyard, Desmond's chiseled profile gently bumped Mia's heart.

Mia knew that he was a very nice person.

When he went to the countryside to pick her up, he hated the seven white geese, but once she begged, he couldn't bear to refuse her.

She had always known that he had the kindest heart.

As he walked out of the fence, Mia couldn't help but walk over from his back, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Desmond stopped in his tracks.

When he saw Mia, he smiled; realizing that her hands were around his waist, he was pleasantly surprised and raised his eyebrows.

In his impression, his little wife rarely took the initiative to hug him like this.

Mia pressed her cheeks tight against his solid back, letting his breath surround her.

An ever-widening circle of happy ripples went across her heart. Bewitched, she murmured, "Desmond, I love you."

It had been a long time.

Her delicate hands were still around his waist.

Though she said those words in a low voice, each of them sounded clear and pious to Desmond.

Desmond had flirted with countless girls, and there were even more girls chasing after him and saying they loved him.

But none had ever touched his heart.

Her words in that very moment touched Desmond to the soul.

The three words made him a maelstrom of churning emotions.

Desmond's dangling hands were quietly clenched into fists as he tried hard to calm down. After a long while, he finally managed to face her, pretending to be calm.

Mia's thick eyelashes veiled her eyes, and her cheekbones went pink.

Desmond thought back to the last time she had made such a bold move - Shelton, that idiot, accidentally made her drunk.

He sniffed and caught a faint smell of alcohol in the air.

Desmond frowned. "Mi, you drank wine again?"

Mia felt a little guilty and gestured with her hands. "Ahem, I only drank a small glass of beer!"

Tonight was Aubree's delicate birthday. In private gatherings, her classmates were much more relaxed. It was impolite to refuse to drink when all the others drank a toast to Aubree.

But because he was not around, she only drank a small glass of beer.

Desmond was speechless.

He knew it.

Mia was a shy girl. Under his close gaze, she remembered that she had suddenly confessed her love to him. With embarrassment, she changed the subject. "Have you had dinner tonight?"

Sabine asked for leave for a day, so there was no one at home to cook for him.

Desmond replied, "Not yet."

She hurriedly said, "I'll make a meal for you. Noodles in black bean sauce or seafood fried rice?"

Desmond nodded, indicating that either would do.

They entered the villa.

Desmond's heart was still pounding because of her confession.

Even if she was drunk at that time, it still had a tremendous and lasting impact on him.

Halfway to the kitchen, he grabbed her hand. "Hmm?" She was confused.

Desmond said, "Wait. I want to eat something else first."

"..." Mia didn't know what he was up to.

By the time she understood it, he had already carried upstairs.

He was in such a hurry that he didn't even close the bedroom door and draw the curtains. Their intertwined figures were aboveboard on the bed.

Sabine was not there. They were alone in the villa.

In the dim moonlight, they could make love without scruple.

The eye-catching sports car drove to Mr. Borbon's house on the weekend afternoon.

When they arrived, Mr. Borbon was sitting in the living room, waiting for them.

Through the floor-to-ceiling window, he could see a sweet and beautiful scene in the distance - Mia and Desmond got out of the car.

He saw that his little bastard grandson got out of the car and did not immediately go into the villa. Instead, he deliberately slowed down after taking two steps forward. After Mia caught up with him, he grabbed her hands and walked along with her.

Mr. Borbon gazed lovingly at them.

As soon as they entered the door, he ignored his grandson and let Mia sit beside him. His wrinkled face was all smiles, and he wanted to whisper something to her.

Mia smiled delightfully.

Old Borbon treated her so well as if he were her blood-related grandpa.

First, he kindly and warmly asked her about her life. Then, he earnestly emphasized his warning to Desmond. "Don't worry, Mi. If he bullies you, I will break his legs!"

Desmond was dumbfounded.

Could you keep your voice down when saying that?

After Mr. Borbon learned about his illness, he was asked to receive regular chemotherapy in the hospital.

Mia, as Mr. Borbon's granddaughter-in-law, had been very close to him. After knowing this, she offered to accompany him to the hospital for chemotherapy. However, he rejected her on the spot.

On the way back, they talked about this matter.

Desmond didn't pay much attention to it, thinking that Mr. Borbon was strong-willed all his life and didn't want his family to worry about his health. He shrugged and comforted her. "He has a strange temper!"

Mia didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Don't say that. He's very nice!"

For some reason, Desmond was jealous. Raising his eyebrows, he glanced sideways at her and asked childishly, "Do you prefer him or me?"

Mia smiled brightly.

She smiled, revealing a line of white teeth, but said softly, "You."

Desmond rejoiced over the answer.

...

At three o'clock in the afternoon, Mia had finished the first enlarged class in the afternoon at her university.

Like the others, Mia remained in the lecture room at the break, waiting for the following classes. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

The professor in the previous class was rigorous. Students attending his class should turn on the mute or airplane mode.

Mia took out her phone and saw a message.

After reading it, she was stunned and then stood up.

Mia picked up the books on the table and stuffed them into her bag. Then she said to Aubree, who was sitting nearby, "Aubree, you may need to ask for leave for me later!

After that, she ran out of the classroom with her bag.

She rushed to the airport.

At the airport, planes landed from time to time. The exits were crowded, and the radio kept broadcasting.

Mia stood in the crowd, searching for someone.

More than half an hour later, a handsome young man appeared in her sight.

Mia's eyes narrowed.

She didn't go forward to welcome the man like the others who also came here to pick up someone. Instead, she waited for the man to walk up to her and asked with embarrassment, "Are you no longer angry at me?"
