Chapter 1060
Liza grinned cheekily, “My allowance has gone up every year, but don’t lose heart. I’ll tell Dad to raise your allowance too.”
She looked at Garland’s sullen face and patted his shoulder. “Cheer up. I’m off shopping.”
She leisurely hummed a song and skipped away.
Far away in Seamar City, Robert was reporting his duties to Theda.
“These past few days, most of the McKinney Group’s clients have jumped ship and joined us. Now that their artists are on hiatus, we can grab their endorsement deals. Within a month, we’ll swallow up all the resources they’re holding onto,” he said.
“Is Debra doing nothing about this?” Theda asked.
“She did,” Robert replied. “Michael has been working around the clock. Debra’s trying to use him to salvage the situation. But it’s not working ”
“Michael may be their ace, and Debra’s relying on him to secure only luxury brand endorsements. But if she doesn’t care about the smaller deals, we’ll take them,” Theda said, tapping her chin. “Without clients or resources, McKinney will be an empty shell. It won’t take long before their funds run dry.”
“Don’t you think it’s a bit rash?” Robert asked. “Debra is not a sitting duck.”
“Nah. We’re on top now, and clients are flocking to us. It’s a fact Debra can’t change,” Theda said dismissively. “Check their revenue for this month. It’s probably not even a fraction of ours.”
“Their commercial street still generates significant income for them,” Robert pointed out.” Even without endorsements, they’re far from weak.”
“I was just a little late snatching that street,” Theda sighed. “But it doesn’t matter. Let Debra guard her territory. As long as I take control of the Nichols Group, nothing else matters.” novelbin
The Nichols Group had been the dominant force in Seamar City for years, with connections and resources that far surpassed the McKinney Group’s.
Theda glanced at Debra’s recent post on social media. Her lips curled in disdain. “Vacation, huh? Let them enjoy it while it lasts.”
Seven days later, at a beachfront villa, Marion was applying sunscreen to Debra’s back.
Over the past few days, the artists had been running wild at the beach, letting loose like never before. Debra also played until she was utterly worn.
This was the first real break she’d had in over a year. Every day in Seamar City had been a grueling battle of wits. Now she finally had a chance to relax.

“Would you call this a honeymoon?” Debra asked.
Marion chuckled while working on the sunscreen. “The honeymoons I’ve heard of usually involve two people traveling the world, without kids to build sandcastles.”
Debra turned over, her bikini highlighting her toned figure. She wrapped her arms around Marion’s neck and teased, “You don’t like this trip?”
“Well,” Randy replied, “your presence has brought colors to the beach.”
