Chapter 2626
Kyson blinked, staring at her, speechless.
“Wait, are you calling me girly?”
“Not at all.” Shari shook her head, her smile widening.
Kyson opened his mouth to respond, but she quickly cut him off.
“Hold that thought.
I need to put on the medicinal powder first.”
She uncapped the bottle of anti-inflammatory medicine, her breath brushing against his wound as she blew gently.
Her fingers, light as feathers, accidentally grazed his Adam’s apple, sending a shiver through him.
Kyson was used to hanging out with the guys.
Aside from working with Zoe on set, he didn’t spend much time this close to a woman.
But now, with Shari so near and her hands touching him, his muscles tensed.
Everywhere she made contact felt like it had been set on fire.
Across the room, Rosalynn sat beside Brian, engaged in conversation with Debora.
Her gaze wandered toward them, taking in the scene.
Her eyes widened for a moment before she stood and made her way over.
“Shari, what exactly are you doing?”novelbin
“Oh, Kyson had a pimple,” Shari responded coolly.
“I couldn’t help myself, so I took care of it for him.”
She stowed her tools in her bag and strode off.
Rosalynn shifted her focus from Shari to her brother, noticing the flush creeping across his face and the beads of sweat gathering at his hairline.
Raising a hand to his forehead, she asked, “Kyson, are you okay?”

“Uh, I’m fine; it’s just that the pain stung.
I’ll go wash my hands first.” With that, Kyson rose abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor, and darted up the stairs.
Rosalynn stood rooted, her expression a mixture of surprise and concern.
As she was lost in thought, Gail and Haleigh emerged from the kitchen, their voices ringing with the announcement that dinner was ready.
Instantly, the room buzzed with activity as everyone paused their conversations and prepared for the New Year’s Eve feast.
Rosalynn steadied herself, then crossed the room with deliberate steps, offering her assistance to Brian as they both guided Debora toward the dining table.
The long, oval dining table gleamed under the soft glow of overhead lights, laden with an array of sumptuous dishes.
One by one, the guests took their places around the elegantly set table.
In the spirit of the evening, Karina was already busy capturing the moment, her phone clicking away as she documented the festivities.
Maggie, not wanting to miss out on the fun, joined her with a grin.
Rosalyn, watching the scene unfold, chuckled and remarked, “Make sure to snap some good ones.
I’ll use them on my social accounts later.”
Karina clicked a few more photos, then grinned and said, “Feel free to post the photos I took on social media.”
