My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 297

"Trying to use stealth against me? You're far from qualified," Dustin said coldly.

Brutus's face shifted from cocky confidence to growing frustration as he swiftly ingested an antidote and prepared for another attempt to vanish into the shadows.

Dustin calmly set Allison down, and with a burst of speed, he shot forward. He was faster than the eye could follow.

Brutus's face twisted in alarm as he hurriedly scattered a rainbow of toxic powders. Each one was potent enough to kill.

Yet, Dustin moved through the poisonous haze without hesitation.

Bam!

With a swift motion, Dustin seized Brutus by the throat and slammed him hard against the wall.

"You've been exposed to at least five of my strongest poisons. Any moment now, you'll start bleeding from every orifice," said Brutus and sneered confidently. His lips curled into a malicious grin.

Dustin said dismissively. "When it comes to toxins, you're the amateur here."

Lucas had tested every poison under the sun on him during his rigorous training.

"What? Impossible! How are you not affected?" Brutus's confidence shattered as he realized Dustin exhibited no symptoms.

His composure faltered, and his bravado gave way to panic.

This man was a monster!

His stealth was useless. His poisons were ineffective. How could such an anomaly exist?

"Now, talk! Who sent you?" Dustin demanded.

Brutus straightened despite his trembling. "I may only be a temporarily registered, gold-ranked assassin for Hell Hall, but even I won't violate our rules by exposing a client."

"If you were a permanent assassin for the Hell Hall, you'd have known better than to take this job," Dustin said with a cold smile.

Brutus frowned in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"

"Only a fool would dare target the King of Hades."

The words struck like a thunderclap.

Brutus's eyes widened in terror and his heart almost stopped as Dustin pulled out a crimson medallion etched with three blood-red words: King of Hades!

"You... You're..." Brutus stammered as he shook uncontrollably in shock.

At that moment, he realized his mistake.

What the f*ck?!

He had taken a lucrative contract to assassinate not just anyone but the King of Hades! His very own king, King of Hades!

Dustin stared down at the quivering man. "I command you. Name the one who sent you."

"Y-yes, My Liege!" Brutus dared not defy him.

Dustin's face grew colder as Brutus said, "It was the Williams family. They paid me to poison and assassinate you."

Dustin's eyes narrowed.

'The Williams family, huh?' he thought.

It must be Arthur Williams.

"Yes, and.

Brutus hesitated as he

lowered his voice, so Allison could not overhear. "It was also them who hired me to poison Jonathan McCall. They wanted contro over the McCall family."

"I see." Dustin nodded.

The McCall family was not a small family. It was understandable for the Williams family to crave control over them.

But for them to stoop to such low, disgraceful tactics was pathetic.

For Arthur to send someone after him...

"It seems that the Williams family insists on bringing about their own downfall."

Brutus flinched at Dustin's chilling chuckle. Even the air seemed to freeze.

"Some people don't deserve respect," Dustin said with contempt.

“Don't speak of this to anyone," Dustin ordered calmly. “When I have the time, I'll pay the Williams family a visit.”
