Chapter 248
At the first meeting, the managers introduced themselves and functional departments reported on their current circumstances. Justin sat at the head of the table, and Rebecca sat next to him. Both of them mainly listened, and only raised their questions when they were confused about the content so that others could further explain.
Justin and Rebecca had to be familiar with the different functional departments, their responsibilities and plans, and the situation of the company. Only when they knew these information, could they find out and solve problems and make further plans.
The meeting, which started from 9 am, lasted about three hours and a half. Though many departments hadn't finished their reports, it was inappropriate if the whole day was taken up with the meeting. So in the afternoon, they went back to work. Justin and Rebecca would meet with the heads of the functional departments individually, saving others' time.
At noon, Justin asked his secretary to send the lunch to the office. He and Rebecca talked about work while eating.
As they talked, Justin found that Rebecca remembered almost all the contents of the three-hour meeting in the morning. Rebecca was like an automatic recorder.
"Rebecca, you are capable. You remember everything." Justin was shocked.
Rebecca smiled and put down her chopsticks. "Haven't I told you that as long as I concentrate, I can basically remember everything I read and hear." Justin looked at her with admiration. "Your brain is magic. How did you do it?"
Rebecca raised her eyebrows. "I don't know. I've practiced a lot."
"So, it wasn't born?"
"I don't know. Maybe!" Looking at Justin, Rebecca picked up her chopsticks and put a piece of beef into his bowl. "Hurry. There's still a pile of documents waiting for you."novelbin
Glancing at Rebecca, Justin smiled, immediately lowered his head, and gobbled up the rice...
Rebecca accompanied Justin to work very late. Apart from going to the toilet, the two of them were almost inseparable.
It was already past ten o'clock in the evening when they left the company. Rebecca wanted to take a taxi back, but Justin insisted on giving her a ride.
"It'll waste you more than an hour. Just go home. Have a good rest. See you tomorrow." Rebecca tried to persuade Justin.
Justin frowned and said shamelessly, "I still have a lot of questions. I want to discuss with you on the way back."
Rebecca looked at him and shook her head. "You've wasted most of the past two years."
Justin was out of words.
After getting in the car, Justin did ask Rebecca a lot of questions.
Rebecca's brain was like a complete knowledge base. It seemed that there was an encyclopedic dictionary in her brain. She knew everything. From the Capen Group to the William family's mansion, it took almost an hour. They never stopped discussing. Rebecca analysed every question Justin asked.
"Just stop here. No need to go in." When the car was about to reach the gate, Rebecca said to the driver.
"Okay." The driver nodded, and slowly parked the car outside the William family's mansion.
"Have a good rest. Good night!" Justin stared at Rebecca who was about to get out of the car. Even if they were together all day and would see each other again tomorrow morning, at this moment, Justin was indescribably reluctant to leave.
His reluctance to part with her was stronger than ever.
