Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back

Chapter 242

"Hello." Rebecca answered the phone coldly.

"Where are you? Haven't you come back yet?" Adam returned to the Williams family's mansion and called Rebecca immediately when he knew that she was not at home.

Listening to the gentle voice on the phone, Rebecca said calmly and emotionlessly, "I am on the way back."

"Okay, I'll wait for you for dinner."

"No, I already told Uncle Williams that I'm not going home to eat." Rebecca refused coldly.

In fact, she didn't eat much in the restaurant just now. It was mainly because that when she saw Wynne Hallock from the beginning, he held her hand tightly, so she didn't like him much.

On the other end of the phone, Adam was silent for a moment, then he said, "Be careful on the road."

Rebecca listened to his gentle and deep voice and did not answer. After two seconds of silence, she hung up the phone.

When she went back to the Williams family's mansion, it was already 8:30 pm. As soon as she entered the room, she saw Adam sitting in the hall with a document in his hand and looking down. He probably heard her footsteps, so he looked up and looked at Rebecca.

"Ms. Smith, you're back. Mr. Williams has been waiting for you to have dinner!" Seeing that Rebecca was back, Butler Williams immediately greeted her with a smile.

Rebecca's eyes met Adam's for a second. Then, he looked away and asked Butler Williams, "Uncle Williams, where are my father and my mother?" "Oh, they have a dinner party tonight. They are not at home." Butler Williams answered and asked again, "Ms. Smith, you're back. Do you want to have dinner now?"

Rebecca nodded and said coldly, "I've already eaten. I'm not hungry. I'll go upstairs first."novelbin

After that, she stopped looking at Adam and went straight upstairs.

Justin had given her a lot of information, so she had to take a good look.

Adam looked up at her and said nothing. He just followed her.

After Rebecca went upstairs and went into the room, sat down in front of the coffee table and turned on the computer, the door was pushed open again.

Without looking, Rebecca knew who it was.

Except for Adam, no one would come in without knocking.

"Can't you just eat a little with me?" Standing at the door, Adam looked at Rebecca and said with a low and pleading voice.

Rebecca looked up at him, smiled faintly, and replied, "Didn't you say that you wouldn't be able to eat when you saw me, so I won't disgust you."

"Rebecca..."

Adam was about to say something again, but Rebecca looked away and continued to look at her computer screen.

Looking at her, Adam felt a lump in his throat, but he didn't force Rebecca anymore. He just said, "I'll ask Uncle Williams to prepare a study for you."

In this way, Rebecca wouldn't have to sit on the carpet all the time. It would be much more comfortable.

"Okay, thank you." Without looking at Adam, Rebecca simply thanked him and accepted.

If she had an independent study, the time she spent with Adam could be minimized, which was a good thing.

Adam stared at Rebecca for a few more seconds. Finally, without saying anything, he closed the door, turned around and left.

After Adam left, Rebecca thought of Caroline and Wynne, took out her cell phone, sent Caroline a WhatsApp message, and asked if she had returned to the dormitory.

Caroline replied a voice message in seconds, and her crisp voice sounded extremely happy and excited, "I'm back. On the way back, Wynne sent me flowers. Oh my god, I'm so happy. I'm almost crazy. Rebecca, what should I do?"
