Mr. President’s Wife (English)

Chapter 15

Jayson and his mom ordered food for them. They ate happily as his mom told stories about his female cousin Lalaine.

Lalaine is also in college in a business management course. This is what Lalaine wants in her course so she can work and help at Jayson’s parents’ restaurant.

Lalaine is one of the children of Jayson’s mom’s sister. It also has brothers Arthur and Aljay.

Lalaine is an only girl, she is also the younger of her two siblings. At first, Lalaine’s house was far away from her Auntie Lisa. She had a few hours to travel before arriving at Lisa’s house, but even so, because of the help of Lisa’s family, Lalaine was able to move to a house near her aunt’s place.

“Lalaine will go to our home later. It’s amusing because I heard that he is now at the top of his class. Aljay and Arthur say to me that they are not okay now with the company they entered. It’s just that the salary is small and their boss doesn’t want to raise them so they apply again to the new company,” Lisa said.

“Mom, why don’t you tell them to work at my company? I know they are struggling with their jobs. But I also know that they are shyer to request and come to you or me to ask for help. I know they feel… that they are ashamed because I have come so far from them… that until now there is no promotion they had from their work. Until now nothing nice happens to them. I told them long ago if they want. They are welcome to my company so I can work with them.” Lisa’s heart burst with joy.

Lisa is glad that his son still has a kind and good heart. Just the opposite of what Lisa knew about her son’s behavior. Because when they’re not together her son is like a dragon sometimes spewing thick fire.

Jayson is a strict boss. He doesn’t like people who are lazy when it comes to working. Especially if he has a rush job that he needs to finish at the given time and day. He is a hot-headed who yells harder when it comes necessary when he’s not satisfied with the work of his employees.

Arthur and Aljay are felt ashamed of their cousin Jayson.

They are also jealous of what their cousin Jayson has achieved.

They are much older than Jayson, but their cousin has come a long way for them.

They work for several years in the jobs they entered. But they didn’t even get appreciation from their bosses. So they couldn’t come near to their cousin. They are afraid of being trampled on or belittled or compared to their cousin Jayson.

In the years that Arthur and Aljay have been working, even once they have not been able to get out of their poverty.

They are also unable to buy their necessities. All they earn is just enough to support their families. Then until now they also support their younger sister who is still studying.

So they are short on money and are often under pressure every day. Although their Auntie Lisa is helping their younger sister with her studies, but can’t remove their minds of ashamed.

They are ashamed of so much support and help them.

Lalaine was not the only one Lisa supported in her studies.

Even Arthur and Aljay were helped by Lisa to study and finish their studies. They owe a lot to Lisa, but they are more dominated by the shame that until now they have never been able to get out of hard life.

The light couldn’t be removed from Lisa’s lips, she was very pleased with her son’s offer. She said, “I’ll tell them both. I’m sure they’ll be happy with that, Jayson. Thank you very much son, you are still very kind and you always think about helping your cousins first.” said Lisa, her mouth opened again. She told her son again. “But remember… Don’t be like the other people. They first underestimate the work of their family or even relatives. Or, they criticize, denounce, mock, and trample. That attitude is not good, you must not imitate them. So be nice to them. Or else I will correct you towards the right behavior that you should have.” Lisa threatened her son. Jayson just laughed.

“Gosh, Mom!” Jayson said without stopping his laughter.

Jayson got serious, took a breath, and told his mother. “Mom, why would I do that to my cousins? You said it. They are my cousins and I should be nice to them. I should not be arrogant even though our standard of living is far from theirs. No matter what happens, I must think of myself and them as equals. Aren’t you the one who taught me that when I was young?”

“You still remember?”

“Of course, that has been imprinted on my heart and mind. I always keep in mind all the advice and teachings you gave me for being a good boy back then.” Jayson said to his Mother again. He breathed, continuing what he wanted to say to his Mother.

“You don’t have to worry about me, Mom. Whatever you’re thinking, I can’t do it to my cousins. It’s possible for others.” he smirked.

“You’re a madman!” Lisa would have raised her hand. She’s used to doing it to her son.

“Just kidding, Mom. Until now you have short patience and hotheaded” said Jayson. Even though the truth is that he is a really cruel boss.

“Don’t worry Mom, I won’t do that to them. They are members of our family. We’re cousins so I will help them when they enter the company. I will not abandon them and will give priority to teaching and I will focus on them so that they can improve even more.”

“That’s good! I’ll tell them. Just take care of them both. I tell them to resign from their jobs and come to your office.”This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

“Okay, Mom. Just tell them to call me first, maybe I’m not in the office in case they come.”

Jayson and his mom finished their meal.

Jayson also tells his Mom that he had a meeting with his client so he will drop her off at their restaurant before leaving and going to his destination.
