Mated In Chaos: The Broken Mate

Chapter 40

Elara

The following day, we were going home. I don’t know how I feel about that. River will be there, and Zuriel will want to take care of her. He blames himself for what happened to her.

I hope our relationship won’t be kicked back after we go back to the pack.

I want to make tonight count. I take my clothes off as we go to bed. He stops walking. His gaze is dark with lust.

He smirks. Before I know it, he carries me in his arms and throws me against the bed. He pulls his pants off.

How is it that he’s so hard already? He hovers over me and slips his thick cock in my pussy.

As he moves inside me, I place my hands on his waist. He stiffens but relaxes. He pumps in and out of me at a satisfying pace.

‘Hmm,’ I moan.

‘You like it?’ he breathes. I nod. He kisses my neck, nibbling my skin. A loud moan escapes my lips. His pace accelerates as he nears his orgasm. His hand wraps around my throat. I feel like I’m feeling to breathe. I tap his hand urgently, and he releases my neck from his clutch.

Remorse crosses his eyes. I smile at him as we continue. My hips rolled to meet his pace.

Zuriel is careful not to grip my throat as he wants.

His body shudders as he cums undone. His seeds spill inside of me.

‘Shit,’ he cusses as he comes out of me. He lies next to me. I lean in to kiss him.

We are breathing heavily. For the first time, Zuriel sleeps first. I trail a finger across his face and kiss him again before I surrender to sleep.

The following morning, my eyes flicker open. Zuriel is not in bed. I sit up and stretch. I get out of bed and do my morning routine. When I leave the bathroom, Zuriel is in the bedroom.

‘Good morning,’ I greet cheerfully. He gives me a latte.

‘Thanks,’

‘We are leaving in an hour. All the bags are bags already,’ he tells me.

After drinking my latte, I change into a white tank top, jeans, and stiletoes. I straighten my hair. I need to say goodbye to Rob before I leave.

‘Zuriel, I’m going to see Robert,’ I tell him. He looks up from his laptop with a frown.

‘Why?’

‘He’s nice to me. I think he’s my friend.’

‘Some people are nice even if you don’t pay them, and I’m not his boss,’ I scoff,

‘We are married. What is mine is yours now,’ I hide a smile when he says that.

‘Well, I’ll thank my employee for his wonderful service, then,’ I said. He only nodded. I went to kiss him, surprising him.

After saying goodbye to Rob and the staff, we went to the airport. Our way home was filled with silence. The good kind, though. I ate and watched movies while Zuriel worked.

‘Are you not hungry? You didn’t eat anything,’ I say. He lifts his eyes to meet mine.

‘I’m good. Enjoy,’

We land after two hours. Bruce is there to welcome us at the private airport.

‘What are you doing here?’ Zuriel asks, frowning. I hit his arm softly,

‘He is here to welcome his friend,’ I grit my teeth. He sighs and says,

‘Thanks for coming,’ he grumbles.

Bruce raises his eyebrows and smiles at me,

‘Teaching his basic manners. Thank you, Mrs,’

I give him a cheeky grin and nod.

‘The driver is waiting. Let’s go,’ Bruce says. We are walking to the car when I catch a scent that makes me growl. River.

‘This woman came too? ‘

I glare at Bruce. He raises his hands and shakes his head,

‘She didn’t come with me, I promise,’

I watch with a stern expression as River walks towards us. She is smiling from ear to ear. Not only that, she’s wearing the most provocative outfit.

‘Who wears that to an airport,’ I murmur,

She goes straight to Zuriel and wraps her arms around his waist. Zuriel gently pushes her away.

‘I’m sorry. I’m just glad to see you,’ she mumbles.

She removes her sunglasses and looks at me.

‘Hello, Elara,’ she extends her hand to me. I look at the hand before shaking it,

‘It’s Princess Elara. Use my title when you speak to me,’

The unmistakable shock on her face makes me almost smirk. However, I don’t show her any reaction.

‘River, why are you here?’ Zuriel asks. She softly clears her throat and shakes her head.

‘I found out from your secretary that you are coming as you weren’t responding to my calls and text messages for the time you were away,’ she says, louring.

My heart is filled with joy when I learn the two weren’t talking during our honeymoon. I can’t help but go closer to my husband. I’m shocked when he wraps an arm around my waist gently. River glares at me and then down the hand around my waist. She doesn’t even hide her covetousness.

‘Let’s go,’ Zuriel says to me. I smile and nod. My wolf is howling in happiness. River went in a different car. Once in the car, I leaned my head against his arm. I closed my eyes, enjoying the journey home.

My new home.
