Married To My Billionaire Stepbrother

Chapter 488: Wedding Day-II

Chapter 488: Wedding Day-II

Meanwhile, Natalie had come outside as well, where Caryn and James were waiting for her. James couldn’t take his eyes off his beautiful daughter, his heart overwhelmed with the emotions that any father feels on the day of his daughter’s wedding.

"You are looking beautiful," Caryn praised her, while James hummed.

Natalie smiled at her father, then gently put her hand on his arm and walked with him while holding the flowers. The three maids of honour followed them.

Meira and Caryn had already left to take their places among the other family members.

The emcee announced the arrival of the bride. Justin looked towards the aisle and watched as Natalie walked toward him. His breath was almost caught in his chest, seeing her as his bride. She was undoubtedly the most beautiful bride in his eyes. Despite seeing every side of her, every form, she never failed to amaze him. Only one thought came to his mind:

He must have done something really great in his past life to have found her. noveldrama

James handed her over to Justin as per the custom and took the place next to Caryn.

As Natalie stood facing him, the dazed man couldn’t help but say, "How can you always be so beautiful?"

She chuckled softly. "Effect of your love, perhaps."

"I will make sure to love you more and more, then," he replied.

The best men and the maids of honour couldn’t help but smile, as did the marriage officiant.

The emcee announced the start of the wedding. The marriage officiant recited the vows for them as Justin and Natalie stood looking into each other’s eyes, light smiles playing on their lips, showing the happiness they were feeling inside.

"Mr. Aiden Handrix, are you willing to take Ms. Natalie Harper as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"I do."

His gaze was as if he wanted to say more than just ’I do’—to make many other promises to her—but he knew she was already aware of them all without him needing to say a word.

"Ms. Natalie Harper, are you willing to take Mr. Aiden Handrix as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

"I do."

The pleasant smile on their lips widened, her gaze assured him that she understood his unsaid words.

The rings were exchanged. Finally, Justin had bought rings for them, as he had promised her before—back when she had bought rings for them. At that time, Justin hadn’t put that ring on her index finger, saying he would buy a ring for her to put on the ring finger—and he did.

Neither of them had removed their previous rings, as both held deep meaning to them.

First, Justin placed the ring on Natalie’s finger—the most expensive one, with a pink, shimmering stone. The ring was sure to be in the news soon anyway, showing how much the CEO of NextEra loved his wife. Now, Natalie had two rings: the previous one on her index finger, and this new one on her ring finger.

Natalie couldn’t deny how her heart fluttered at the sight of it. It was the most beautiful ring in her eyes, and her gaze clearly brightened as she looked at it. Her eyes told him just how much she liked it.

Mia whispered to Cathy, "No woman can resist a precious diamond, and our friend is no different. Look at how dazzled her eyes are."

"Why not? I would be grabbing onto such a ring if someone offered me," Cathy commented.

Natalie proceeded to put a ring on Justin’s finger but then looked at him, noticing he was already wearing a ring.

"Would be two of them?" she asked, wondering if he had forgotten to remove the previous one.

He shook his head lightly with a smile and said, "Just go ahead."

As she slid the ring onto his finger, she realized it was designed to fit with the previous one—as if they were two parts of the same ring, now finally connected.

She looked at him in surprise, only to hear him say, "Now it’s perfect."

Natalie was overwhelmed with the thought he had put into it; her eyes turned a little moist. He never failed to surprise her.

"The bride and groom can kiss now."

The words brought them back to reality. Justin moved closer, his hand sliding gently against her neck, and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

The place echoed with loud claps, while the pair didn’t part. Justin kissed her for a few moments longer, as if he couldn’t stop just yet.

The family and friends could only cheer for them, being part of their happiest moment.

When they separated, Justin whispered in her ear, as he hugged her gently, "We will continue the rest tonight."

Natalie’s cheeks flushed red as she simply hummed.

Meanwhile, James leaned closer to Caryn and said in a low voice, "I wonder if we should have had a wedding as well, instead of just signing papers."

She slapped his hand gently. "Old man, stop dreaming. Just enjoy our present life."

He clasped her hand with his. "That I’m already doing."

Caryn simply smiled, letting him hold her hand.

Later, the bride and groom met the family members, friends, and guests. There was a long photo session with family members, as if nothing should go amiss.

Babies Alexander and Olive were brought to their parents as well, and family pictures were taken—full of happy and naughty moments. Both sides of the family made the best out of it. The close friends were no less.

Sebastian commented playfully, "Alex and Olive are the fortunate kids to be able to attend their own parents’ wedding. Look at us—we aren’t even in a single picture from our parents’ wedding."

Others laughed while Julia slapped his hand gently. "Don’t talk nonsense."

The celebration continued till the evening with food, drinks, music, and dance. The evening starry sky and pleasant breeze, along with romantic music, had turned the atmosphere full of love.

Justin and Natalie were stuck to each other, moving along to the gentle music, savoring every moment filled with dreamy love. Her hands circled around his neck, and she pecked his lips all of a sudden, her cheeks slightly flushed.

"You seem to be drunk?" he commented, his hands gently resting on her curvy back to hold her closer.

"I don’t need to be drunk to kiss you," she replied, her voice a little lazy, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "I passed that phase long back."

While others were enjoying themselves, Meira was sitting by Julia’s side, her face holding a gentle smile—a reflection of the happiness she was feeling inside.

Julia placed her hand on hers and said, "One day we’ll be having such a wedding for you as well. You’ll be just as happy as Natalie is right now."

As Julia said it, Meira’s gaze automatically followed one man in a suit—Noah—who was busy talking to others, including Justin’s friends. More like, he was just listening to them, nodding and humming once in a while.

Meira quickly looked away and said gently, "I’m not thinking about it, Grandma. I’m just going to focus on my studies."

Julia had noticed her actions carefully and said, "Of course, dear. Maybe in the future, when you’re ready."

Meira, being the obedient girl, simply hummed.

"There are so many good men in the world, and I’m sure one day you’ll find the best one for you," Julia added.

Meira hummed again, her gaze once more following Noah—despite her not wanting to do so.
