Married At First Glance: I Am Not Ugly

Sharing A Room

They entered their ride to where they were going to stay for the night. Marissa enjoyed the views as she looked out the window.

Switzerland was a place of beauty and she couldn’t wait to explore the beautiful country.

“This place is really beautiful.” she said, smiling as she looked out the window.

Alexander, who was going through some papers, looked up and stared at her as she admired the beautiful country.

“Yeah…. it is. Wait till night then you would see how much beauty this country is.” he said, smiling back and then focused again on his paperwork.

Their journey continued as they made their way to the place they would be staying for the night.

Marissa couldn’t take her eyes off the picturesque Swiss landscapes, and her excitement grew with each passing moment.

Alexander couldn’t help but notice her genuine admiration for the country. He couldn’t resist chiming in,

“Switzerland is known for its natural beauty, and the night sky here is a sight to behold. You’ll love it.”

As their journey continued, Marissa’s sense of wonder only deepened, and she felt a sense of adventure building within her.

The scenery outside the window continued to unfold, and Marissa was truly captivated by the stunning Swiss landscapes.

She couldn’t help but think about how this unexpected adventure had taken her from her ordinary life to a place of such natural beauty.

As they approached their destination, Alexander and Marissa exchanged a few more words about their upcoming plans.

Alexander explained, “We’ll stay the night here, and tomorrow, we have some meetings scheduled with our business partners in Switzerland.

Then, we’ll head to the office to sign the contract.”

“Okay… what time is the meeting tomorrow?” Marissa asked.

Alexander checked his wristwatch and then spoke.

“Um… by 10am.”

“Am I going with you to the business meeting?” she asked.

“Yeah… you are…” he said.

“You see, the reason I did all these is for them to think I’m married so that I could be offered this contract instead of someone I know.”

She looked at him with a confused expression.

“Who’s the other person that’s interested in the same contract as you?”

“His name is Jaime Fernado and he’s downright annoying. He always wants to steal every project I do and always tries to steal my potential client from me.”

“But why did the company have to give such a criteria for you to get a contract from them?” she asked.

“I don’t know…. I guess they wanted to see how responsible I am in handling their business.

You know many companies believe a man who has family to take care of, would do anything to provide for them. So they believe that a man who has responsibilities would not handle their projects anyhow. So that’s why they laid out such criteria.” Alex explained.

She moved closer to him and leaned in to whisper so that the driver won’t hear their conversation.

“Do you think that Jaime also did what we did to also secure this contract?”

“Um… I don’t know actually, but by tomorrow we would know, because we are meeting the potential client by 10am for breakfast at the most expensive restaurant here in Switzerland.” Alex said.

“So we are heading to our hotel right?” Marissa asked.

Alex nodded and focused his mind on the paperwork.Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Marissa nodded, still taking in the breathtaking views that surrounded them. She couldn’t believe how quickly her life had changed, all for the sake of helping her brother.

Their adventure had only just begun, and Marissa couldn’t wait to see what lay ahead in this stunning Swiss landscape and the business endeavors that awaited her and Alexander.

As they arrived at the place they would be staying. Marissa gazed at the remarkable surroundings around her.

The place was so beautiful and she felt like she was dreaming. She never expected her life would ever turn out like this.

Having a fake marriage with a millionaire to secure a big contract for three months and in those three months, she gets to live a life of luxury.

To her, it was a dream come true the one she only watched in movies.

“So let’s settle for the night and then we move to the restaurant tomorrow morning.

My secretary has booked that restaurant for our meeting tomorrow, and she had informed me that the client would be available by that time tomorrow….

So let’s rest early so we can wake up on time and get there early shall we?”

“Sure, it’s not a problem. I wake up very early anyways.” she said.

“And besides I don’t think I would be able to sleep with this beautiful view I’m seeing. It’s gonna be a very long night.”

Alexander smiled, placing his hands into his pocket.

Marissa looked around their lodge and realized that the room was just one.

“Why is there only one room here?” she asked herself.

“Is he expecting that we are going to share the same room?

Oh hell no! That just ain’t gonna happen.” she told herself as she looked at the room.

She entered the room and sat down on the bed, but noticed how soft the bed was…

“Is this place for a honeymoon or what?

Why is the bed so soft like a water bed?” she wondered.

Marissa couldn’t help but have a chuckle at her own thoughts. “Is Alexander expecting us to share this room for the night? Well, that’s just not happening, buddy.”

She decided to approach the situation directly and asked, “Um, Alexander, is there a separate room for me? I’m not sure sharing is the best idea.”

Alexander, who had been sifting through his documents, looked up with a puzzled expression. “Oh, the lodge provided us with only one room. It’s not something I anticipated.”

Marissa rolled her eyes playfully. “Well, that’s unfortunate, isn’t it? But I’m sure we’ll manage for one night.”

Alexander grinned. “Indeed, we’ll manage. It’s just one night, after all. It was late… so we couldn’t go to the place I booked yet… but after the meeting tomorrow, our luggages would be moved to the place we would stay for at least three days.”
