A Great Team
As they walked out of the event hall, Alexander held Marissa’s hand tightly, almost as if he was afraid to let go. He knew that without her by his side, he never would have been able to stand up to Jaime and defend their company.
Marissa looked up at him and smiled, her eyes shining with pride. They had faced their biggest challenge together, and they had emerged victorious.
They were a team, stronger together than they could ever be apart. And as they walked down the hallway, hand in hand, they knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, as a team.
His driver came out and offered to open the door for Marissa to enter, but Alexander offered himself and told his driver to go home for the night and gave him a tip. His driver smiled and then left Marissa and Alexander alone.
Alexander entered the car and helped Marissa with her seatbelt.
“You were amazing in there,” Marissa said, as she looked over at him. “I’ve never seen anyone stand up to Jaime like that. You were so brave and confident, and I’m so proud of you.”
Alexander blushed at her praise. “It was all because of you,” he said. “You’re the one who gave me the strength and courage to do it. Without you by my side, I never would have been able to do it.”
“We make a great team,” Marissa said, as she leaned her head on his shoulder. “A team that can take on anything.”
Alexander leaned in close and whispered in her ear, “I couldn’t have done any of this without you. You’re my inspiration, my rock, and my everything. I don’t know what I would do without you.”
Marissa blushed at his words and smiled. “I feel the same way about you,” she said. “We’re a team, and we can take on anything together. Nothing can stop us.”
Alexander took her hand in his and squeezed it gently. “I’m so lucky to have you in my life,” he said. “You make me a better person, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” Alexander said.
“I want to grow old with you, to see the world with you, and to experience all of life’s joys and sorrows with you by my side. I love you, Marissa, more than I can ever say.”
Tears of joy welled up in Marissa’s eyes as she looked at him. “I love you, too,” she said. “And I want to spend the rest of my life with you as well. You’re everything I could ever want and more. I’m so grateful that we found each day.”
They both shared a passionate kiss and this time Marissa knew that it wasn’t an act, but it was real and she felt so good.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
As they pulled away from each other, Alexander stared into Marissa’s eyes and smiled and she smiled back at him and he ignited the car engine and they zoomed off to his apartment.
The ride home seemed to go by in a blur, as the two of them were lost in their own world, thinking about their future together. When they reached the apartment, Alexander got out and opened the door for Marissa. They walked up the stairs and entered the apartment, still lost in their own little world.
As they stood in the living room, Marissa looked around and saw that the apartment was beautiful. It was decorated in a simple, yet elegant style, with warm colors and comfortable furniture. It felt like a home, and she could imagine herself living there with Alexander.
“Do you like it.” he asked.
“Yeah, it’s nice, but I kind of still preferred the other apartment that we stayed in together.” she smiled as she sat on the couch.
“You mean the one far away from town?” Alexander asked, as he sat down next to her.
“That was a nice apartment. But I think this one is even better. It’s in a great location, and it’s got everything we need. Plus, it’s got a view of the park, which is really nice.”
“You’re right, it is a nice place.” Marissa said, as she looked out the window. “But the other apartment had so many memories. Like the time we stayed up all night and watched the sun rise, or the time we cooked dinner together and it turned out to be a “disaster.” Marissa laughed, remembering the night they had tried to make spaghetti and ended up with noodles all over the kitchen. “I’ll never forget that night. We laughed so hard that we almost cried.”
Alexander smiled at the memory. “We did have some good times in that apartment. But I think we can make even more memories in this place. And who knows, maybe we can make some spaghetti that doesn’t end up on the ceiling.”
Marissa smiled at him. “I’m sure we can.” She said, and then leaned in to kiss him. “I’m just glad we’re finally home together.” She said, as she rested her head on his shoulder. “I’ve missed you so much these past few months.”
Alexander pulled her close. “I’ve missed you too.” He said. “But now we’re finally here, and we can start our life together.”
Marissa closed her eyes, feeling content and happy. “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.” She said softly. “I love you, Alexander.”
“I love you too, Marissa.” Alexander said, as he held her close. “Now, let’s start making some new memories.” he said.
“What about Jessie and Jaime? I don’t know… I have this feeling that something’s coming and we need to be prepared for it.
Because I don’t think Jaime would let you get away with publicly humiliating him.” Marissa explained.
Alexander was silent for a while as he thought about what Marissa had said. He knew that Jessie wasn’t happy about him choosing Marissa over her, but he had his reasons for doing it.
