Chapter 93
Wallace had said that as long as he lived, he would protect Melina. The Wentworths were a prominent family with many members and a great deal of assets to its name, but the family members had also grown estranged in some ways.
Since he was the one who brought Melina into this challenging situation, he was determined to keep her safe.
Melina took a seat beside Wallace, and Linda’s expression turned a little sour.
“Jason, tell Andrew to come down for dinner, Wallace instructed.
Everyone was here now. Andrew was the only one missing.
However, Jason gave Melina a pleading look. It was clear from his expression that he the one to disrupt Andrew while he was resting. Who would? Well, it

certainly wasn’t him. He’d like to live a little longer.
Recalling how Andrew would strike anyone who approached him while he slept, Melina got up and said, “I’ll do it. He’s grumpy when he’s woken up.”
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone’s expressions became rather strange. Andrew was a veritable lunatic who looked like he’d murder anyone who came near him when he was asleep. How could she describe it as being grumpy?
Everyone was more than happy to watch Melina make a mockery of herself. Event Linda didn’t protest. Since Melina had a death wish, she was thrilled to indulge in it.
Only Wallace gave it some serious thought. When he remembered seeing Andrew asleep beside Melina, he smiled and said, “Sure. You can wake him then.”
Melina headed upstairs and knocked on the door, but no one responded. She figured she wouldn’t need to knock ever again. Andrew had never once responded when she
knocked on his door.
She opened the door and walked right into the room, feeling a little uncomfortable to see Andrew fast asleep on the bed with the bedding she’d slept in last night. She approached the bed and called out softly, “Andrew.”
Andrew didn’t respond at all. He didn’t even try to hit her.
Melina frowned. Something was wrong. She shoved him and said, “Wake up,
up, Andrew.

Andrew was devilishly handsome, to begin with, and his current state made him seem even more bewitching.
Heart pounding, Melina wanted to back away, but she abruptly sensed that something was amiss. After reaching out to check Andrew’s forehead, she exclaimed, “You have a fever, Andrew!”
The cool touch of her hand against his cheek soothed him, and he hummed in
response.
Melina ‘started to fret. “Didn’t you say you’d see a doctor in the afternoon, Andrew? You haven’t been to one, right? The fever must’ve been caused by your inflamed wounds! You need to let a doctor check on you.”
Just as she was about to rush off, Andrew grabbed her by the wrist. He slowly sat up in bed, his head still heavy. “You’re not allowed to get anyone.”
He didn’t trust any of the other Wentworths. After having suffered once, he wouldn’t allow a repeat of it.
Melina sounded panicked. “Andrew, please stop being so stubborn! Okay, why don’t we head to the hospital instead?”
Andrew was a little dazed as he stared at the anxious Melina.
“Fine. I’ll go to the hospital, but don’t tell any of the other Wentworths.”
Melina hurriedly nodded. She was genuinely afraid. She’d once gotten injured and developed a fever after her wound got infected. Due to the poor medical treatment available back in the mountains, the fever lasted several days before it finally subsided.
