Chapter 1140: Sandy, I'm Here to Take You Home
At this hour, there definitely wouldn't be many people around at the scene.
"Anthony, I confirmed with them over the phone yesterday. It's guaranteed not to go wrong," Hiruma
followed behind Anthony, speaking in hushed tones as they walked.
Anthony hummed in response. "Have them prepare a bouquet when they come, something suitable."
Hiruma nodded. "Alright."
After inspecting the venue, Anthony received a call from Brandon.
Last night, they had been drinking together for a while, shoulder to shoulder. Anthony's role had shifted
from a guest to a groomsman.
When Anthony saw Brandon's call, he felt somewhat baffled. He even wished he could travel back to
last night and strangle his past self.
But the words had already been said, and he could only grit his teeth and go through with it.
After answering the call, Brandon's voice came through the phone. "You're not at the hotel?"
"I'm at the wedding venue below, just wandering around, thinking of causing some trouble somewhere.
Otherwise, I, the rival, will have done nothing in vain."
"Are you done causing trouble? If you are, come to the hotel entrance."
Anthony agreed. "Sure, I'll be right there."
Hanging up, Anthony turned to Hiruma. "Wait for them here. I'll get in touch later."
Hiruma checked the time on his wrist. "Okay, you go ahead. When things are ready, I'll call you."
Anthony patted Hiruma's shoulder and turned to walk towards the hotel entrance.
"Anthony."
Just as Anthony had taken a couple of steps, he heard Hiruma's voice behind him. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
He halted and turned to look at Hiruma, not far away. "What's up?"
Hiruma smiled at Anthony. "Anthony, from now on, may everything go smoothly."
Hearing Hiruma's words, Anthony just smiled and waved his hand before turning and leaving.
When Anthony reached the hotel entrance, he immediately spotted a line of cars parked along the
roadside.
Brandon stood in front of the leading car.
"Over here!"
Upon seeing Anthony, Brandon waved his hand towards him.
Anthony walked over. "You actually look handsome today, old man."
Brandon playfully adjusted his clothes. "Naturally, compared to you wild youngsters, middle-aged men
like me have more flavor."
Anthony scoffed. "Did you take a shower at home last night? You still have a smell."
Brandon shot Anthony a look, then tossed him the car keys. "You drive. I'm not in the mood to fight with
you today."
Anthony caught the keys. "I won't fight you today, out of respect for Sandy."
They locked eyes for a few seconds before both turned and got into the car.
Brandon signaled to the convoy behind with a hand gesture before getting into the passenger seat.
Anthony started the car. "I never thought that one day, I'd be a groomsman for my rival, let alone drive
him around for free."
Brandon handed him a cigarette. "I never thought that on my wedding day, my best man would be my
rival, and that I'd be riding in my rival's car."
Anthony took the cigarette and started driving away from the hotel.
For the sake of ceremony, the convoy needed to circle around Viteto and then return to the hotel to pick
up Sandy before circling back to the wedding venue.
Originally, Brandon had intended to have Sandy and Stella change to another hotel last night, but
Sandy refused. They were both easygoing people and didn't fuss over such matters.
Brandon agreed as well. He preferred to trust his family members rather than hire unfamiliar people to
be by Sandy's side.
One of the girls from Sandy's side was Tiffany Flower, Brandon's cousin's sister. She was twenty-one
years old and currently attending college.
Tiffany had a handsome appearance, and she was a big fan of Sandy's career.
So when she learned that she was going to be one of Sandy's bridesmaids, she was overjoyed. Seeing
Sandy in person only heightened her excitement; she seemed like she was about to hold Sandy in the
palm of her hand.
"Sis, how did my brother manage to win you over?" Tiffany leaned in next to Sandy, asking in a low
voice.
Sandy responded with a hum, "We fell in love at first sight, and the feeling was mutual."
In truth, if Sandy were asked to describe how Brandon had won her over, she wouldn't be able to give a
precise answer.
But between them, it was like they were magnets that irresistibly pulled towards each other.
When fate arrived, when they felt it, they simply naturally came together.
Tiffany continued, "My brother is really lucky to have you!"
Sandy laughed softly, "I think I'm the lucky one."
"Well, of course. If my brother was still as aloof as before, you definitely wouldn't want him."
Sandy didn't deny Tiffany's words. If Brandon had truly been as cold as Tiffany described, she probably
wouldn't have nodded to his advances.
Perhaps it was fate that everything between them had progressed quite smoothly.
Of course, except for the incident with Olive during this period, things seemed to have gone well for
them.
As they chatted, a knock on the door could be heard from the entrance.
The group of girls quickly flocked to the door, on high alert.
Soon, Brandon's voice came from outside, "Sandy, I'm here to take you home!"
The girls at the door shouted, "Who are you? Who are you here to pick up?"
"I'm Brandon, here to take Sandy home."
"What's your relationship with Sandy?"
"I'm her husband, the father of our child!"
"Sorry, we don't know who you are!"
The girls at the door displayed various attitudes, giving him a hard time.
More than ten minutes passed, and they still hadn't allowed anyone in.
Sandy was getting impatient. She tugged at the hem of Tiffany's dress and asked in a low voice,
"Whose side are you on?"
Tiffany turned to Sandy, her face close. "Of course, I'm on your side."
"Then
, between you and my brother, whom do you choose?"
Tiffany answered without hesitation, "Of course I'd choose you!"
Sandy choked back a laugh and advised in a hushed tone, "We're family after all. Don't you want to
help your brother a little?"
