His Ex-wife Is An Heiress (Amara and Tobias)

Chapter 0093

Amara's expression crumbled slightly after hearing Ronnie's words. But she did her very best to maintain her composure.

Tobias was also placing a bid on the empress heart? What the hell was he planning to do with it?

The question was answered when Celestine's face proudly flashed in Amara's mind.

Oh, She felt her mood instantly sour. But in seconds, she dispelled the bad feeling, determined to get the empress heart for Maria.

"I see. Thank you for informing me."

"Of course." Ronnie nodded. He spotted a few more clients and excused himself to greet them.

Left alone, Amara geared up to head inside. But as soon as she did, a familiar voice called out her name.

"Amara?"

Proudly, Giselle walked up to her, Fiona following by her side.

The elderly woman eyed Amara from top to bottom and scoffed.

"I could tell it was you from a mile away."

"So why did you approach me?" Amara carried her chin high as she asked, refusing to keep her head low like she had in the past.

"You dare question me? What's a rat like you doing here in the first place?" Giselle spat.

"Mother, stop." Fiona tried to calm the elderly woman, much to Amara's surprise.

She glanced in Fiona's direction with narrowed eyes, only to have the little witch avoid eye contact.

"Shut up, Fiona," Giselle scolded her daughter, having expected her to back her up. "And you, I'm warning you, if you've come here to steal someone's husband, I won't hesitate to expose you and tell everyone what a horrible wife you were to my son." Amara scoffed at her warning.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

A horrible wife? She had done so much, did and endured things that wife's weren't naturally meant to endure, and yet, Giselle dared to say she was a horrible wife.

If that isn't the biggest joke ever told.

Amara's expression darkened and she opened her mouth, intent on putting her ex mother in law in place, but then, a voice echoed behind her. ""Mother."

Giselle's gaze moved from Amara's and her expression lit up upon spotting the familiar figure walking towards them.

"Tobias!" She exclaimed and Amara turned around, just in time to watch Tobias make his way towards them.

She quickly noticed Celestine by his side, grinning from ear to ear.

Her chest ached, dully, she noted.

Tobias's gaze lingered for less than a second before he focused on his mother. "Mother, what are you doing here?"

"The auction house has something

that Fiona and I need," Giselle

informed and turned her attention to Celestine. "Hello dear, looking beautiful as usual." She

complimented.

Celestine smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Hello Mrs. Larsen." She greeted.

"Oh, don't be so formal," Giselle playfully slapped her arm. "We're going to be family soon. That would have happened a long time ago," She paused and glanced hatefully at Amara. "If a certain worm hadn't wriggles her way into our family."

Amara clenched her jaws, annoyed. But unlike the uneducated duo behind her, she knew better than to cause a scene in such a big place.

So, quietly, she decided to leave. That is, until Celestine spoke up.

"Amara? You're attending the auction too?"

That is none of your business, was what Amara wanted to say.

But before she could even utter a word, Celestine had gone on to say.

"And alone?" She looked around, carrying a look of concern on her face. "Don't you have a partner with you? Was there no one you could bring along? You poor thing."

In seconds, Amara spun around and glared at Celestine. The little witch was trying her patience.

"Is this why you've interrupted my evening? To know if I came with a partner or not?" She questioned and Celestine's brows narrowed, but her smile didn't fade.

"I'm sorry, was I annoying you?" She chuckled. "Forgive me, I was just worried for you-"

"You can keep your worry for yourself. Or better yet, save it for that failing career of yours." Amara cut her off and Celestine's lips parted, clearly stunned by the insult. "Amara," Tobias, who had remained silent all this while, finally spoke, his voice deep and menacing.

But Amara was unfazed. Instead, she found it funny how he could still show his face to her after doing what he had done.

How shameless!

"Your grandfather should have seen her for the wench she is, God bless his soul." Giselle added, her eyes narrowing in disdain. "With such an unlovable character like hers, it's no wonder she can't find a man for tonight's event." Scoffing, she loudly added. "You should be more like Celestine; no wonder Tobias loves her."
