Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 397

Cindy lunged forward, ready to throw a punch. But Brooklyn was quicker, grabbing her arm and pressing down hard on a pressure point.

"Ouch!" Cindy yelped, stumbling back a couple of steps, her face scrunched up in pain. She rubbed her arm with her free hand, feeling the tingling sensation spreading through it.

"What did you do to me?" Cindy grimaced, looking almost comically exaggerated. "It's so tingly, so numb!" Some of the onlookers couldn't help but chuckle.

"Get out," Brooklyn said coldly, her eyes steely and unwavering. Cindy shivered, realizing just how intimidating this woman could be. With just a simple press, her entire arm had gone numb.

At that moment, the hospital security showed up. "Alright, folks, move along. No lingering," a few uniformed guards started dispersing the crowd. The onlookers quickly scattered.

"Miss, are you okay? Do you need us to call the police?" one of the guards asked Allison with the utmost respect. They all knew Ms. Allison. When she was admitted, the security team was briefed. They were shown her photo and told she's the boss's daughter, here to recover. They were instructed to be courteous and attentive to her needs.

Hearing the guard speak to Allison so respectfully, Cindy immediately got the hint. "Wait, is this your family's hospital?" Cindy exclaimed in surprise.

Allison just gave a small, knowing smile, choosing not to answer Cindy directly. Instead, she turned to the guard, "No need to call the police, just see that this lady is escorted out."

"Yes, Miss," the guard replied promptly.

Cindy was dragged out, kicking and yelling, "I'm not leaving! Let me go!" Once she was gone, Joy snapped out of her shock, looking at Allison in disbelief, "Allison, is this really your family's hospital?"

Allison nodded slightly. Joy wanted to ask about the Shawn Reynolds Group's bankruptcy, but seeing the look on Allison's face, she thought better of it. It was clearly a sore subject, best left alone.

...

The next morning, Allison woke up, wanting to get some fresh air. As she opened the door, she stopped in her tracks. Right there, at her doorstep, was a bouquet of fresh Juliet roses.noveldrama

Allison picked up the bouquet, looking for a note, but there wasn't one. Who could have left these flowers? A familiar face flashed in her mind, and her breath caught.

Was it him? Had he come by the When? Allison stared at

the roses, lost in thought. Maybe it was a mistake? Without a card, she couldn't be sure they were meant for her.

Should she ask? But given how awkward things were between them, if Joshua hadn't sent them, asking would just make it even more awkward.

Allison decided to head over to the nurses' station on the same floor. The nurse on duty put away her phone and greeted her with a warm smile, "Good morning, Miss."

"Good morning," Allison replied. "Did you see who left these flowers at my door this morning?"

The nurse nodded, "Yes, it was a gentleman."

"A gentleman?" Allison's curiosity piqued. "What did he look like?"

At the mention of the gentleman, the nurse's eyes lit up with excitement. "Tall, handsome, and honestly, he looked better than most movie stars!"

"Was he wearing glasses?" Allison asked, thinking of Joshua and Watson. Watson wore glasses; Joshua didn't.

The nurse shook her head. "No, he wasn't. He had on a black shirt and looked quite aloof."

Allison had a pretty good idea who it was. That description seemed to fit Joshua perfectly. But if he came all this way, why not knock? Why didn't he come in to see her?

Allison asked the nurse, "When did he come by?"

"About half an hour ago."

"Alright," Allison said, thanking the nurse before heading back to her room.

Her suite was in the luxury VIP

section, complete with fresh-cut flowers Allison replaced the wilting ones in the vase with the vibrant Juliet roses Joshua had left feeling a mix of emotions swirling within her. sŵnovel
